Hello GemStone Community,

There've been many times in the past when you've pulled together and helped someone in an absolute crisis situation, so this group of people was the first place we thought to turn.

Futtilo's player, Jason Gable, has recently had some severely hard times, and we hope that you can help in any way possible. This letter was jointly written by several of his friends here, as this is a person that we care deeply about.

Just a few weeks ago, Jason became a father, but a few weeks before that, due to the poor economy, he lost his job. He has lost his insurance and used his savings to take care of his family during the difficult period.

Last night, his home burnt to the ground. Everyone was able to escape without harm (even the dog!), but they lost all of their possessions. They do not currently have a place to store any items, but any sort of donation would be very welcome, to pay for food and help them find a place to rent.

He has very limited internet access at this time, but donations may be sent via paypal to pitbullninjas@aim.com. You can also contact Rachel at sparklingether@hotmail.com to make other arrangements if you live in the St Louis area, if you'd prefer to make a donation of a gift card, E-Gift card or via snail mail.

Thank you so much for any well wishes or anything that you can do to help. We will make sure he receives everything, and we can't express how much of a difference even the smallest bit of assistance will make.

Sincerely,
Kai (Vivaldi's player)
Adam (Belnia's player)
and several other concerned friends

He'd rather his family have a home and pay bills, then have nothing.

They do not currently have a place to store any items,

Not a criticism or anything but the above line is cute in a gamers way.

Sorry to hear about the misfortune. At least they are all alive and together and have very cool people helping them out.

Good luck Futtilo and family.

Being the evil-non-believing-doubter I am, a link to the birth announcement and/or house fire report would probably go a long way.

:wtf:

Anyway, send cash not gift cards. I send something earlier.

He's a great guy.

Yes, a direct Paypal deposit is best.

We suggested gift cards because for some people it's easier to do. Plus some folks don't have Paypal, but most have a CC.

Also for those untrusting folks, it's a little hard to go buy crack with a Wal-Mart or Target gift card. So it provides some peace of mind.

While everyone is in the giving spirit, I also don't have a home or a job.

Please donate all your long underwear to me, so I can survive in Alaska.

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their thoughts and wishes. Especially those of you that have been able to donate.

Wow, that really sucks. :hug2: I'll probably donate a little once I get paid and ask the hubby to donate some as well. My thoughts go out to Futtilo and hope the situation gets better fast.

Talked to the hubby, and we'll be sending around $50.00-$60.00 sometime this weekend. I know it's not much, but every little bit helps. ^_^ I really hope things get better!

I want to thank everyone that's donated, and those that weren't able to but still sent well wishes. We're put up in a motel for a week or so. I can't stress how much you all have helped us since the fire.

We're glad to be able to help. I think times like these bring out the best in people. You and your family will be in our thoughts.

So, why'd you make that comment about Ratolin's kid?

(for serious, glad we were able to help a teensy bit. Hope you can get back on your feet soon)

Small update Bump

Futtilo's out of the extended stay, and working on getting a more permanent home for his family.

Again, thanks for the thoughts and help that you folks have given.

I'm not one to ask for help like this, but things have gotten bad. I'm currently staying in my car. Derek and my girlfriend have a temporary place to stay, but I do not. I'm not asking anyone that can't afford to help, but if you can, we could really use the assistance. It's going to cost $860 to get into a new place, the landlady will be waiving the deposit, due to the situation. Again, I can't thank you folks enough for what you've already provided, but I desperately want to have a steady home so I can settle in with my family.

Shit man. I wish you luck. I've recently been laid off as well.

I know you're in the St. Louis area but if you ever come to KC I have a big ass house if you and yours needed somewhere to stay for a while.

Catching up with Futtilo, he shared this with me, and in turn I'm sharing it with you folks. Mainly because he needs some cheering up, and I have a feeling you guys can accomplish it.

FarmerVivaldi (7:22:41 PM): .............
