Ok so the other thread piqued my interest in what other interesting stories people had.

I will start!!

Years ago When I first started Gemstone I belonged to Twilight House. And there was this wizard there forget his name who would take groups of lower levels out to places we couldn't yet hunt. At first it was fun he was high level to us and it was cool to go places. But after a while he would only want to take you out just him and you. It got to feel a bit creepy so you would make excuses or only go if there were others. He could track you down being a wizard and there were only so many places you could go at that level so easy for him to find you. After one day when he sat at a table and told me he was going to kill himself if I didn't let him come meet me I moved to icemule heh. Talked to some other lower level females and found he had been doing it to us all.

Well years went by he was nothing but really a memory and I get this ranger whisper from someone. Just a general Hi how you doing I have missed you lets get back together (wtf). Turns out he sold his wizard leveled up a ranger and was so glad to see me around. I was freaked!. I avoided him like the plague.

Again years go by my little ranger is a much higher level now hunting on the moon with a large group of friends. This priest comes up and asks to speak to me. I tell my friends to head out we had some dead and lower levels with us not good to stand around in there back then. I ask him what he wants and OMG its him again and he says that isn't it great that we are destined to be together. For a second I almost called a gm. But...

I killed him on the spot and told everyone that I had the body both voln and on the net. Drug him to one of the side alcoves and left him there. He never bothered me again. :)

I pissed off this one adventurer and the next day I logged in, there was a rumor in Rone Academy how I was gay and all my lockpick kits had been smashed.

Oh man, either you told me about that once in-game or someone else did. How could there be more than one person who does that in GS?

Did you play a female wizard in Icemule? The one I know that this happened to asked me to hold some stuff in my locker and I've still got it. I'm hoping to give it back one of these days. Hm, that sort of sounds like a stalker trick.

There are some who can't seem to handle playing GS without their new characters being best friends or related to the best friends of their old characters. I had one guy go through like 8 characters. The instant he made the new one I'd get a little "Hey dude, it's me, I play Douchebag" whisper. That's borderline stalker if you ask me. Might well have been something of a stalker to the girl who played his in-game wife/mother/grandmother/great-grandmother/mistress/(some multiple times over).

No darling I was Zanti ranger. But I was very close friends with Julesia and she might have had this happen to her also. He got kicked from twilight for doing something else stupid so the house was a great place to be where he couldn't bother us.

I think I've told this story on here before. Back around something like '98 I just was nice to this girl, and hooked her up with spells when she needed them. None of that let's make out, let's get married in a stupid text based game. Just being nice.

I have no clue how she got my address, but, I started getting love letters and hand made jewelry in my real world mailbox. Then I started to get phone calls. Again, I have no clue how she got my number. I think it was AOL, so maybe she profiled me and searched around.

I played a lesbian half-elf a while ago. Not really butch, but definitely tomboy. I had drawn a picture of her and passed it around amongst my friends just because. I portrayed her as very fit with wiry type muscles.

Anyway. Someone else that I didn't know in the game found the picture on one of my online galleries and actually sought me out in the game. She.. at least, the character was a she.. followed me around and tried to find me whenever she could. She kept wanting to talk to me about "muscle worship." ;_;

She somehow kept thinking that the picture I drew was meant to look like me in real life? I don't know. But she wanted to worship my muscles. Or something. It was really hard to tell what she meant to be in-character and out-of-character. If those thoughts ever crossed her mind at all. She'd whisper to me that she wanted to meet me and do the worship thing.

;_; Creeptastic. I dodged her for a while and as far as I know, she doesn't play the game anymore. I've forgotten her character name so even if she does play, I don't remember anymore. This was back in AOL days.

How dare you lie about me like that you know you sought me out. I tried to run and hide but noooo you stalked me and whispered to me and sent thoughts and locates at me and when I respond you kill me HOW DARE YOU. You led me on you evil little minx, you flirted and tantalized and what you did in that room at silvergate......... Well you get the idea how can you blame this on me?

I want to say that I Read your story and understand your course of action a little too well. But as a bit of a clingy guy i'd like to say if you see me in game please wait before you start to evade because there's a huge difference between clingy and a stalker. See, Stalkers will get pissed when you tell them you're too much of a burden. Clingy will make more friends so that he doesn't bother you so much.

You see people have threatened to kill themselves if I didn't deliver for them too. I've been there. I'd rather relate and prove you wrong, i'd rather admit it and fix it than THIS. This is fucking unhealthy.

My screams for help largely sound like "Help me hang on because i think i deserve you because i refuse to make that threat and even if you disappear i'm goin to find my own bearings just like I always do... I don't truly need you but if you would help me tonight it would rock."
