Mattocks are listed as crush only just like mauls, with tiny AvD differences, and a bit more damage on leather, less on plate, mattocks seem just as good... Is this like Estocs being pierce only on the documents but actually slashing?

I guess since you're gonna beat the shit out of stuff with soft leather anyway, the .025 less isn't gonna hurt the maul too much, but the .025 against plate really helps, especially if you fight shit with plate pretty often.

I just can't see that little difference making this sell for almost the same as a perfect steel maul (not an enchanted one). Chalk one up to glyph availability I guess.

Yeah, well, because of that I've been saying that the folks selling perfect steel mauls have been WAY undercutting themselves. They shouldla been 6 mil for 4x for a LONG TIME. Oh well, they lowered the standard on everything else, so too late.
