Need appraisal. I have my own guesstimations, but would like some second opinions. Would like to sell as a lot to some rich bastard, but that may be a fantasy.

1) troll heart necklace (listed on Krakiipedia, blood regenerator, the one formerly owned by Madmountain)

2) glowing golvern pouch suspended by a thin golvern chain (250lb single teir weightless)

3) enruned silver belt (10x DB pinworn, less than 2)

4) a full suit of golvern plate armor (9x MCP, 27lb, pure golvern)

5) a burnished vultite claidhmore (oldstyle 4x)

6) a plain black sack (weighs 2, holds 1000)

7) a severed theif's hand (coin hand)

Would like individual thoughts, and perhaps thought as a lot as a whole. Many thanks!

I understand you would like to make back some of the cash you spent on these. Its easy to spend, and once its gone its no more fun. Reputation will live on in peoples memories forever. You should hold a random drawing and give these items away. You would be loved forever.

Because I price things like Tsin and it would cause ceaseless bitching.

Tsin had some of them at one point, yes. It's hard for that not to be true of 75+ mil items.

Really? Your guesses were pretty good.

1) troll heart necklace (listed on Krakiipedia, blood regenerator, the one formerly owned by Madmountain)

80+ mil

2) glowing golvern pouch suspended by a thin golvern chain (250lb single teir weightless)

150+ mil

3) enruned silver belt (10x DB pinworn, less than 2)

130-150mil

4) a full suit of golvern plate armor (9x MCP, 27lb, pure golvern)

This is worth the most by far. Something like 250 mil

5) a burnished vultite claidhmore (oldstyle 4x)

55-70 mil

6) a plain black sack (weighs 2, holds 1000)

No clue, never cared for these.

7) a severed theif's hand (coin hand)

150+ mil

1) troll heart necklace (listed on Krakiipedia, blood regenerator, the one formerly owned by Madmountain)

I bought and sold this to Tsin 3x. 70m is a good bet. Honestly, its not that good, it does not work well, and has some unfixed bugs.

2) glowing golvern pouch suspended by a thin golvern chain (250lb single teir weightless)

150m. Can see this one.

3) enruned silver belt (10x DB pinworn, less than 2)

110m. Better than a cloak.

4) a full suit of golvern plate armor (9x MCP, 27lb, pure golvern)

Masterpiece item, better by far then the last set for sale, the golvern don't matter, but 200m.

5) a burnished vultite claidhmore (oldstyle 4x)

I sold an eonake claid for 55m, so its around there.

6) a plain black sack (weighs 2, holds 1000)

Junk. Fill it and drag it once. Dare ya!

7) a severed theif's hand (coin hand)

Best item in the game, albeit spelled wrong.

Yeah until the premie checkbooks came out. That cut the value on these things by at least half IMO.

1) troll heart necklace

Good luck getting the value outta this one in this economy. This is a total prestige item in a time when they are really depressed.

3) enruned silver belt (10x DB pinworn, less than 2)

135

5) a burnished vultite claidhmore (oldstyle 4x)

45+

6) a plain black sack (weighs 2, holds 1000)

25-30

Personally I'd take a bunch of health recovery enhancives over a troll heart. The coin hands became less useful when encumbrance was factored into exchanging. No longer could you exchange 2 million coins for an item. That really killed the value of carrying around tons of coins. Still useful, but not nearly what they used to be, especially with the advent of the premium checkbooks like Drew mentioned.

Well, since I know a few things about em...

Costs you Premium Points to get one, thereafter can be refilled for coins on Mist Harbor.

Lets you write notes (and can set the town for the note now, originally was only IFW notes)...

I still think totally useful, and in places like the rift, neccessary.

Truth, yes. I was not comparing the hand to the checkbooks though, I was comparing the hand to the effort it actually takes to run and deposit coins. I'm lazy at times yes, but that lazy, no. I think it's more about having the hand nowa days then it's actually of use, but it does serve it's purpose as you stated.

My comments are not binding to the price of the hand, the hand's surely an uber item that should be kept on high scale prices IMO, it's just not worth it to me anymore. That's why I sold mine almost a decade ago.

Thanks for everyone's help! I hope to have the auction up and going maybe as soon as tonight, so keep an eye out for it if you're interested in any of the items. Taking cash only though.

I guess my next question is, do I need any sort of special account on paypal to be able to accept payments up to, say 2000 individually and 8000 or more collectively?

Thanks!

It'll be interesting to see how many people might change their tune when the new 110 area comes out and they can't walk out with any silver.

I think it's a great item, but that's because I'm encumbered as soon as I pick any silver while hunting because BGs are fucking retarded.

1) troll heart necklace (listed on Krakiipedia, blood regenerator, the one formerly owned by Madmountain)

75 MM - 80 MM sounds about right.

2) glowing golvern pouch suspended by a thin golvern chain (250lb single teir weightless)

150 MM

3) enruned silver belt (10x DB pinworn, less than 2)

120 MM - 130 MM, going off the generic 10 MM per enchant rule of thumb and adding in a premium for being pinworn

4) a full suit of golvern plate armor (9x MCP, 27lb, pure golvern)

Sweet armor. 200 MM absolutely, maybe a bit more..

5) a burnished vultite claidhmore (oldstyle 4x)

Apparently the laen claidhs sell for like 30 MM now, so 45 MM doesn't sound unreasonable.

6) a plain black sack (weighs 2, holds 1000)

I always thought anything > 500 lbs was overkill. Who can even hold that much? Still, I think those crystal & gem bags sell for like 20 MM.

7) a severed theif's hand (coin hand)

100 MM for a piece of history that's extremely useful for people who cash hunt or hunt in the Rift. At the same time, there are other items that hold a smaller amount of silver AND function as containers that you can get significantly cheaper.

No, just the fact that this game is going no where anymore. So alot of people are attempting at selling out, which I don't blame them for.

Problem is, the smart folk are not buying. Horrible investment if they do, unless they have tons of fun with their purchase and are happy, then by all means pay up..

Link your bank account and make a Premier paypal and make sure to lift the withdrawl limit by either adding and confirming a debit card or your SSN.

Paul can correct me if I'm wrong, but you just have to remove the coins from them in order to give them to someone else.

Coin hands, to me, are the ultimate status symbol item.

That's a good question. Seems I do remember there was a certain command for attuning it. Anyone know off the top of their head?

FWIW, waiting on one last thing and the auction will be posted. I think the initial prices I'll have them at are pretty fair. Keep an eye out!

I'm still waiting for someone to eventually get thrown in jail and not be able to pay their fine because all their money is in their coin hand.

Even more win if they DC.

>rub my hand

And no, Mario, you can hand it over with coins in it. Do that a lot for the folks I play when I need them to get or pay for stuff.

And Methais, be dumb to keep all your coins it, I just keep enough for small purchases and gambling in it, 20-30m.

Of all my items, be the one I'd never sell. Got it in one of the best trades in the history of GemStone, and I've had it sheesh, 10 years.

And yes, the GS market is strange right now, but so is every other economy in the world.

Yeah, i'm more inclined to think that people aren't buying because their money is tight due to the economy, rather than because the game is "dying". Not to say the state of the game has zero influence on it at all, but I definitely don't think it's even close to being the sole (or majority) reason.

At cap, and even before, the majority of your coins from a hunt are going to come from boxes and gems. I long ago stopped picking up raw silver, just not worth the encumbrance to me. I think we're going to see a lot of silver lying around in the Rift area, unless people want to try get collect 20,000 (that's it, isn't it?) for the special deed-and-mana exit.
