Weapons and armor (including armor accessories) cannot crumble. As you asked, only jewelry type items can crumble, including things that might seem like armor, but if it's sung to and "adds extra protection" (can make your ASG go up) then it's officially armor.

The only thing you have to worry about enhancive wise for weapons and armor is weighting and padding. Those can potentially degrade and lose their properties, but the item remains in tack.

Also there are "Dah'cres" or whatever they were called, and some of those got put on armor pieces. It's enhancive with a glyph(the old type) and those will degrade if not kept charged. You can charge them, but if it runs our, your armor piece will just be plain armor again. However those you will not find on critters and the seller should know what it is.

But no armor won't crumble, off track free bUmP (above my auction even :(

Weighting and padding aren't enhancive, they're either temporary or permanent properties. A loresong should tell you which.

The dachre's are not attuned. Yes they do have an old type glyph, they even recycled the SAME old glyphs to use for them.
