Has anyone else signed up for Goozex? A friend of mine told me about it the other day so I scoped it out.
I've got to admit, it's pretty damn cool. It's sort of like E-bay for video games. Instead of trading/selling your old games at video game stores for diddly squat in trade value, you should go to this website.
From the website on how it works:
Goozex provides a unique trading platform for video games. Members trade their games for Goozex Points, and then use their Points to get other games from other Goozex users. Members pay only a $1 transaction fee for each game they receive.
The Goozex system is entirely automatic. Members list the games they have available for trading, and those they wish to receive, and Goozex finds the best match for their offers and requests. Each game is pre-assigned a value in Goozex Points, to make easy and effortless trading games on Goozex.
Just for signing up you get a free game -- but it can only be worth 100 points. Don't get me wrong, there are literally over 5,000 games for 100 points. I picked out Medal of Honor Front Line for the Gamecube. I already received it in the mail.
The other good thing about this website is how 'cheap' the games really are. For example, I posted all my crappy games on there to trade, and I've already wracked up 900 points. Mario Kart for the Wii is only 650 points, so I requested that. If you don't have games to trade, you can buy the points. 100 points is only 5 bucks... so Mario Kart for the Wii is essentially about $35. You don't even have to pay shipping charges when you receive a game (though you do when you send one).
It's a wonderful website. I wish I had known about it sooner before I gave a lot of my crap games away.
Let me know if anyone has any questions. Here's a link: (this is my personal referral link -- when you make your first trade, you and I will both get an additional 100 points -- you also get 100 points [a free game] when you initially sign up).
