What mitigates the RT for climbing or shaking the flagpole?

I get pretty absurd RTs for climbing and I have only a shield out and 40 ranks of climbing.

You gotta do it bare handed, that's about 8-12 seconds of RT with 50 ranks of climbing.. Shaking is just retarded, I see no point in ever doing it.

10 ranks isn't significant enough for me to make a determination on climbing skill.

I might raise my 40 ranks to 101 in preparation of the new 110 area. I assume I'll need the climbing since nothing is easy in GS.

i've got 47 ranks of climb and its still way easier for my to shake the pole than climb it.

Ok, this is me failing back before I grabbed 50 ranks. This was even before I mastered GoS.

You start to climb the wooden flagpole, but only make it a few feet off of the ground before you lose your grip and slide awkwardly back down to ground level!

Roundtime: 12 sec.

This is after I mastered and started to bother with them. Also I toss up resolve and had 50 ranks of climbing at the point (so 60 with resolve).

That RT is absolutely unreasonable in a warcamp.

i was getting more RT with the climb, but after about 15 tries, i never even got the damn flag.

i guess its possible i'm just the most unlucky person ever.
