WTF!
I had a black forest ogre damn near kill me on the Zortahg's Spine. What kind of shenanigans is that? Script check I presume...

>report Seriously? How many times are you going to script check me. That's four or five I've counted today.

They had to have spent at least an accumulated total of an hour today just watching me run around. I don't know how well they code but as a professional software engineer I can get a LOT of code written in an hour. Stop fucking around with shit that doesn't matter and do something useful before this game dies completely.
Jackasses.

What the fuck is wrong with scripting all the repetitive shit in this game.

The people checking you for AFK scripting.. aren't the coders. Not to mention as a professional software engineer you get paid to get a job done. A GM's "salary" doesn't even compare to your lunch break.

I'm with you. I've had about enough of the staff.

I love the staff.
So long as scripting is against policy they are just doing their job. You don't want to get in trouble or checked alot? Don't script or only script while you stare at the screen.
I script, but not AFK anymore. I just use it to make repetitive things easier is all. Hell, over half the things I do are scripts of some form.
I have a sell script, obviously movement scripts, sort scripts, want to make a script to collect my things from the constable but never gotten arrested enough to bother with it, pick boxes scripts (especially important I watch these because sometimes I will get a trap I can't do), heal script, etc etc etc. I'm always there though, I guess I'm either too poor a scripter to write more complex ones, or as boring as I find the game lately, even that little interaction is what keeps me around.

After sleeping I think I'm in a better mood. I guess getting to 21 in 17 days might have tipped them off a bit...

I'm entirely convinced GMs have a background program that checks for repetitive tasks and flags it for suspected AFK scripting. I've gotten 4 characters to nearly 2x post-cap and the only time I've been script checked was when I'm pretty sure someone was pissed off at me and reported me based on suspicion.
I do use scripts for short tasks (like movement and selling) but not for extended tasks (hunting or forging).

As someone that used to start scripts before going to DC for the weekend I can say with confidence that if they do the algorithm is retarded.

I do use scripts for short tasks (like movement and selling) but not for extended tasks (hunting or forging).
I scripted roughly 3,500 forging / crafting / fletching ranks between my two characters between the end of August and the beginning of November, and did not get checked on.
It was probably close to 1,000 hours worth of text flying across the screen.
I'd probably kill myself if I had to actually pay attention to all of that.
