Pretty sure it still has flares. He was saying buy it and have the flares removed at CCF cause people don't like Lightning flares. I tried to get it done for him but I suck at merchant/festivals.

Are you trying to ask if a normal 10x axe is worth more than a lightning flaring axe? People with that kind of silver to spend on an axe are usually capped and Nelemar is not lightning friendly (2nd floor your standing in water). I've hunted with a lightning flaring weapon in Nelemar and its not that bad though. Very minor damage on small flares and you'll get stunned on big flares (over 25) from what I noticed.
