I have a giantman cleric but I made him when there was still repell around and I had no idea about stat gains.

here is my current info

Race: Giantman Profession: Cleric (shown as: Shaman)
Gender: Male Age: 55 Expr: 1927385 Level: 42
Normal (Bonus) ... Enhanced (Bonus)
Strength (STR): 86 (33) ... 86 (33)
Constitution (CON): 71 (20) ... 71 (20)
Dexterity (DEX): 57 (-2) ... 57 (-2)
Agility (AGI): 61 (0) ... 61 (0)
Discipline (DIS): 79 (14) ... 79 (14)
Aura (AUR): 97 (18) ... 97 (18)
Logic (LOG): 79 (9) ... 79 (9)
Intuition (INT): 100 (25) ... 100 (25)
Wisdom (WIS): 100 (25) ... 100 (25)
Influence (INF): 68 (14) ... 68 (14)
Mana: 136 Silver: 0

So anyway, when I came back in GS4 I didn't know I could redo my stats. After repell (in GS3) was changed I switched to a blunt weilding cleric back when our AS could get really high. I kind of miss it and I am getting bored just using 302 over and over (bane).

Will I regret this so much? I rarely raise anyone so i don't care about losing that ability. Though I do cast 101, 107, 202 and 103 at my Rogue from time to time. Do paladins at my train have some spells I can cast at my rogue that are better than what my cleric to do?

ok, thanks!

Not really no. Especially not a hide/ambush/melee rogue.

If you're bored, just switch to a weapons cleric and use the rogue to leg, and swing a perfect something/claid at it.

If it wasn't for the damn treasure system I would.

I say that because 70% of my fun in GS is what I find on critters when I kill them. So anything hindering that is a no no.

(do a lot of paladins at least get up to 107 by 42 or no)

You need to get divine intervention first, then it's up to you. Other than suggesting 120 by rift-age, there's no wrong way to go.

I did, actually, when I converted over at level 48 (from a warrior). I went with 30 in Paladin spells and 18 in MnS. I'm at 55 now, and I'm still at 30/20 spells, respectively. I haven't missed having 1635 around (for the one or two times where I might have wanted to actually use it), and I would certainly rather have 101/103/107/112/116/120, especially since my paladin lives in RR (where having native knowledge of 112 is a god-send).

(I'm still only at 50 spells total because I worked on getting her armor up to 2x so she could have minimum spell hindrance in the hauberk she wears.)

Ah thanks, can you PM your skills? Just to get an idea of how people train.

Also, is divine intervention the raising spell? if so, I don't care to have that anyway.

Easier to just put my skills up here...

I train in a couple odd things (all the Survival, First Aid, and Perception) for RP reasons. If I didn't have those, I would probably have more spells, lores, MIU, and/or Arcane Symbol ranks.

Oh, and Divine Intervention is 1635... the Beseech spell.

Spell 1635 - Divine Intervention (DINTERV) [AID #381]
Circle: Cleric

This spell takes effect immediately.

Effect:
Divine Intervention calls the patron to the Paladin's aid, assisting in freeing her from her plight. The patron Arkati removes one status effect from the Paladin when she uses the BESEECH command, at a cost of 35 Mana Points (MP), to call for assistance. Such effects include, but are not limited to web, stun, bind, poison, disease, and curse. Because the deity is removing the effect and not the Paladin, there is no spell hindrance. The Paladin cannot be asleep when using this ability.

Notes:
Using the BESEECH command at any other time will not cost the paladin 35 MPs.

Edit: This spell is one of THE best in the game

Woah. I knew it did webs, stuns, binds... but I had no idea it included poisons, diseases, and curses. (Not that the first two can't be taken care of by 113/114, but still...)

It also works on multiple effects.. so if you're bound, webbed and stun, beseech 3 times (for the same mana cost) and you're free.

Heavy armor+redux+unstunning ability=win

Right, it has no hindrance. Damn, that's actually pretty sweet.
