Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Short Review: Almost as good as the first movie in the series.

To expound on that a bit, I really did enjoy this movie, though it seemed to lack a lot of the ..style that the first film captured. I liked the actors, especially Bill Nehee(sp) as the lead vampire, Victor. The story plodded along at parts, but was still interesting enough to keep one's attention. The combat is fairly frequent and bloody. Dialog wasn't stand out, but didn't make you want to rip your ears off.

Bottom line, if you enjoyed the series at all, or are a fan of Vampire/Sci-fi I would highly recommend the film.

When I watched the first movie, I loved it, but thought to myself, "WHY THE FUCK DID THEY KILL OFF THEIR TWO BEST CHARACTERS?!!!?" I didn't much like the second one. When I saw the previews for the third one, and saw that it was all about Viktor and Lucian, I was a very happy man.

Viktor (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0631490/): "I loved my daughter. But the abomination growing in her womb was a betrayal of me and the coven. I did what was necessary to protect the species. As I am forced to do yet again."

One of my favorite deliveries by any actor in any movie.

There is some soft-core in the movie, but nothing worth watching it for if that is the only reason. What they did could have been in a PG-13 version of the movie.

Ahh, the new Underworld movie.

Ever since the first Underworld came out, I was, of course, a complete fan. The story is as you expect, Vampires VS Lycans, but with all the killer combat and gadgets, along with the smoking hot and impressive actors it really was just awesome.

When I first heard of the third installment for the Underworld series, I was completely shocked, cause I was not at all expecting it. I was pretty sad to hear that Selene wouldn't be in it, and I am assuming neither is Michael. Although I am very intrigued to find out the previous story for Lucien.

Maybe I'll go check it out by myself today. None of my friends are into vampire movies. :(

There's a good chance they reused it. I've seen the armour from Starship Troopers in about 5 different films.
