Got this via email, so no guarantees of the accuracy:

Babu Sassi, a fearless young man from southern India is the cult hero of Dubai's army of construction workers.Known as the "Indian on the top of the world", Babu is the crane operator at the world's tallest building — the 819-meter (2,687 ft) Burj Dubai. His office, the cramped crane cab perched on top of the Burj, is also his home — apparently it takes too long to come down to the ground each day to make it worthwhile. When the building is completed, its elevators will be the world's fastest.
Stories about his daily dalliance with death are discussed in revered terms by Dubai's workers. Some say he has been up there for more than a year, others whisper that he's paid 30,000 dirhams ($8,168) a month compared with the average wage of 800 dirhams a month. All agree he's worth it.

Wow. If that's true, it's nuts.

Wow. If that's true, it's nuts.

Do you mean that his first name is "Babu" or the part about him being high up in the air?

If he doesn't get down to go home or anything.. where does he pee? Just stick his dick outside the cab and hope it doesn't hit anyone he knows?

I would love to pee off of that building. So thrilling. What a lucky man.

Peeing from that height it would basically be mist by the time it hit the ground.

Don't ask me how I'm an expert on peeing from heights though...

Wow. I missed Techno Viking. Thank you for educating me. o-o; That's quite a collection of unbearably white people on that street.

Yeah I went for the punny title. Took a while for someone to run with it.

Can you imagine how long it would take to climb the stairs?

Ok I'll answer my own question I did a little napkin math.

160 stories (estimated)

30 seconds average climb time per story

2 minute rest for every 5 stories

Figure those are good averages considering the marathon amount of stairs, slightly thinning air, average shape human. Also assuming there even stairs in this building.

30 seconds per story = 80 minutes

32 two minute rests every 5th story = 64 minutes

Time to reach the top floor = 2 hours 24 minutes.

Why are they making that building so big? Is it really necessary? and i hope those elevators will have seats in them.
