Been a little interest for this claidh, but most have been offers of trade with items i don't care for.
Here's the deal. (Auction has been alted no more changes as of this last update)
3x newstyle glaes claidh. No other prizes.
Tickets 500k a pop, buy 3 get a 4th free (but must be bought together, cant buy 2 one day then the last day buy another to get a free one)
Will use the wheel in landing to determine the winner .
Will close buying on Feb 6th reguardless of how many tickets are sold. and Spin at 8pm est on Feb 7th.
If all tickets are sold before then will run a spin at the next satuday at 8pm.
During the spin, if a number comes up that isnt bought, will spin again untill the winner for the prize slot is determined.

Yeah its a long shot... but I could also lose out, if the tickets dont sell I'll still spin reguardless.
I highly doubt ill sell all tickets to be honest. I was trying to figure out a way to make a raffle that could still be fair.
If 49 tickets sold yeah id be up 49m, if 50 sell ill be up 35m... it fluctuates. if 2 sell ill be up 2 mil...
shrug... no real way to make a perfect auction and i didnt want to stipulate to have all tickets sold, people would think im trying to pull a fast one.

Except you keep pulling and revamping the deal. What's to say you don't sell enough tickets and cancel? Just seems odd to try to milk 100 million out of it.
Im not scamming, but if you dont want to buy just don't. People that dealt with me personally no im not like that.
The spin will happen reguardless in 1 month... since I do have one ticket sold.
got a few questions sent to me, just going to answer it here.
I will not be altering the terms of the auction now since one ticket has been bought. I know it takes some trust to buy, but I have no intentions of pulling a fast one. A few people know me personally that I wouldn't do such a thing.
The claidh didnt cost me anything, but that doesn't determin its market value. I personally value it at 30-40m depending on need.
I will spin at time posted, all are welcome to come and watch. If you don't feel my terms are good for you, just dont bid instead of msg'n me to alter the terms. I could of tried to commision sergy to run the raffle since he is well known, but since i do have a ticket sold I wont change how the auction is done.
And yes I probably could of sold the claidh very quick at 30m or so, but I decided an raffle would be more fun, though now I may regret doing it, I still wont pull it out, because as I said before I am not going to alter the terms that are posted.

If this is legit, its a fun way of selling the claidhmore. Good job.
But, someone trust worthy should hold the silvers.
That is a good idea, but it will be alot of work collecting the cash, then I would feel obligated to pay them for thier effort.
There are only a few I personally would trust holding the money as they are old friends. (Most my friends are gone). One's still around would be farmer, and Plur, but if they want to buy a ticket it wouldnt be right for them to hold the coin (conflict of interest). Deftone the guy who bought the first ticket is my buddy also.
I'm not against the idea if someone who I feel is acceptable is up to the task, that is someone who I trust and have had personal experiance with.
But to be honest because of the work entailed, Id rather keep the silvers on me.

The problem I have with the deal is the cost of a ticket and the odds of winning. Its an unbalanced raffle (cost of ticket to items worth IMO). If it only sells a low amount of tickets its fair (which probably will happen) but theres a chance it could sell a lot and not be worth the odds. I have no problem trusting Sile.

even if it sells a few amount of tickets I would assume that he would still treat the other tickets as if he bought them himself. Therefore, the odds of winning to cost ratio will still suck.

I got the impression that he'd let it spin until someone won, at least from his statement that if only two tickets were bought, he'd be up 2 mil. Not 2 mil plus the glaes claidh should neither of those numbers win.

If 70-99 tickets are sold by closure date (1 month) will still do three spins but prizes will be claidh, 15m, 8m
If 50 - 69 tickets are sold will do two spins .... prizes will be claidh then 15m
If less then 50 tickets will for claidh only.
If this works I'll start getting in on the raffle business. Collect 19 mil and pay someone 15 mil (4 mil profit) or collect 49 mil and pay out 23 mil even better (26 mil profit for collecting and spinning a wheel). Assuming it sells at the limit 69 or 99 of course.
If you priced the tickets at 500k I think you'd make twice as much as you will at a million. I imagine you'd sell near 100 tickets at 500k and you'll sell 25 at a million.

A million silver is a bit much for the chance of winning a newstyle claidh. I'm with the other poster, less is more and at a more conservative 225k a ticket you would likely have sold more than half and gotten more than it's worth regardless.

I would lower the price of the ticket's and possibily remove the 2nd and third prizes, but one ticket is already bought, and it's wouldn't look good that I changed the terms after tickets have been sold. So even if I only sell a few tickets, I'd rather make less money and show that I stick to my word, then make more money just to appease a few people.
With how the auction is set up, If no more tickets sell. Deftone will win the claidh because he has the sole ticket. I walk away with 1 m in profit. The wheel will spin untill winners have been determined. None of my alt's will have any tickets bought, nor will any friends buy tickets for me.
I probably am overcharging, or didn't pick the best terms for the auction, but even if I wanted to, I can't change the terms now.
If all tickets sell you have a 1 in 33.3 to get the claidh, 1 in 33.3 chance to get 25 , 1 in 33.3 chance to get 10m. I thought about raising the 2nd and third prizes to go and make the auction more popular, but again it goes back to that one ticket is already sold, I rather show that I'm going to stick to my word the terms will not be changed.

Wait, what? Am I just really tired here or something? If you buy one ticket and all tickets sell, it looks to me like you have a 1 in 100 chance at the claidh, then 1 in 99 chance at the 25m (assuming you don't win the claidh), and then 1 in 98 chance at 10m (assuming you don't win either of the other prizes).
bah im an idiot... your right... 1 ticket gives you a 1 in 33.3 chance to win a prize if i sell all the tickets.

You buy 1 out of 100 tickets. You don't win the claidh, so there are 99 tickets left in play for second prize, including yours. So you have a 1 in 99 chance at winning the second prize. You don't win the second prize, so there are 98 tickets left in play (excluding the two tickets who won the claidh and the second prize), including yours. So you have a 1 in 98 chance of winning the third prize.

Yeah, I don't suspect this raffle to be very popular, it might garner some more interest near the end when people see thier odds are higher if not many tickets are sold.

Why not just ask the person who already bought a ticket if he/she would mind if you changed the ticket price to 500k, and refund half their money or give them another number? If they say no, leave it as is. Wouldn't hurt to ask though.
I could, but you know how some people always suspect the worst in others.
Even if he agreed, people could try to turn it that I changed it for some underhanded reason.
Best to just sit it out, and if tickets dont sell at least I stuck to my word.

I know that, if the price were dropped to 500k per ticket, I'd buy two.
Ok Format has been changed. Tickets are now 500k a ticket, buy 3 get a 4th free. This is the last change being done. What ever happens happens. This may speed things up a bit.
Deftone since he is the owner of a ticket under the old option, will have the options of paying an extra 500k for 3 more tickets, taking an extra ticket, or getting back 500k.
I hope this is more acceptable... No other changes will be done.

I bought some tickets but I do agree with the draw date. It's way too long. With how much there is left of the population I dont think drawing it out will get you more tickets sold but its your raffle so I'll just stfu and wait...but it'd be sweet if you moved the draw date up.
I might buy a ticket if I didn't have to wait a fucking month for the raffle to draw.

Ok updated Draw date is Feb 8th, unless all sold out before then.
I really hate doing changes, but yeah it seems to be a concensus. I think under the old way, people would only buy on the last week.
Now buy my tickets, who knows if all sells i can draw sooner.
P.s. this is my first time doing a raffle, and I figured it be a better way to get it in the hands of a person. It's a work in progress.

Overall I made about 34m off the Claidh.

This small room seems even smaller because of the tremendously high ceiling here. Nearly cutting the room in half is a large counter. Behind the counter and hanging on the back wall is the Wheel of Chance. Keeping a watchful eye on the entire proceedings is a large man, the hawker. The only exit is through the narrow arch that leads back to the main gaming hall. You also see the Kirelle disk, the brown Linoge disk and the Lydrift disk.
