But is he selling those or just showing them off?

I'd be willing to let that maul go, but it's rediculously expensive because of the Ironwright Flares, being 2 pounds, being 8x, and being made of pure veil iron.

It's worth 65 mil.

I suppose I'd give a discount for cash and take 550 bucks.

I'll keep the 8x permablessed for now.

Buying a 4x perfect maul and enchanting it up to 7x will probably be much cheaper.

And leave me without a weapon for months.

Not a fan of ironwright because you have to continually get blesses... you have nothing else you want to sell? :(

Sorry, but that's a silly justification to me. You have to continually get blesses with 95% of all weapons in the game. Unless you are one of the lucky few to have a permabless...you are gonna have to keep getting blesses.

If the bless runs out, it's still an 8x light as hell maul. I just don't really get it, I guess (and maybe that's because I have my own pocket cleric to bless stuff, but still).

I dunno. I don't really have anything else that qualifies as "high enchant", no.

perfect Lance is better. Way better. Especially, if you going multi-strike berserking and you got CM and ambush ranks up the ass.

Hunt living instead?

Are the blesses required before adding a flare? If so, then I wouldn't go through that hassle.

Still, 8x Maul is pretty delicious.

Does the flares still ignite on the living?

Pretty sure the flares work on everything. And the nice thing about ironwright is you can have a flaring weapon against undead. If you had a normal 8x fire flaring maul it couldn't be blessed or used on undead.

Khariz

Yes, the flares work on living. But yes...it has to be blessed to add the flares.

Ironwright weapons + Sanctify = <3

And at 2 pounds, that maul should fit in those blessing scabbards. You can probably find a rechargeable one if you ask around.

You cast a spell of the correct base for the flare (fire or desintegrate in this case) and THEN cast bless... and it then flares that type for as long as the bless would normally hold out.... which isn't something I'd be willing to pay extra for, as I'm entirely too lazy to go through that rigmarole every few hunts, even though I DO have a pocket cleric to help pull it off

It is a very nice maul, but I wouldn't want to pay extra for something I'd be personally using as a basic 8x weapon.

And you only NEED a bless if you happen to hunt undead... which I don't, generally, mostly due to my preference of avoiding constant weapon maintenance

I'd be interested in the claidh flamberge/mattock if those are for sale...

Higher enchant/end polearms, edged or blunts would be ok as well, though I prefer a two hander first and foremost.

The Claid weighted flamberge is okay to sell, I suppose.

It's 50 mil or 450 bucks. It's got a genuine history, a nice alter, and it's inmy opinion is the only flamberge worth bothering to use.

I used to own the -1x claidh weighted flamberge... which would have been almost worth bothering to use, if not for the fact my gnomish AS wasn't feeling the -5 enchant

Shot you a PM

You bless first, then cast, not the other way around. Also, it is really not a pain.
