Doubtful that the officer was targeting you for anything other than being in the same vicinity as the reported shots being fired. I would have done the same thing regardless of your attire.

I've been padded down twice in my life, and both times they had very good reason to do it (and I was promptly arrested).

Since I was 16, I haven't been more than spoken to by a police officer.


I can come up with 3 reasons you're being stopped:
A) You look like Osama Bin Laden, the Unibomber, or the Pedo bear
B) You aren't running like the typical jog-running, but flat out sprinting as if a dog's chasing you.
C) You are dressed up like a Ninja

And an bonus reason you're being searched... You're being a dick to the cop that stops you. (Don't get me wrong, if I were being searched once a month by the cops, I'd be a dick to them too).
