At around what level are bards able to sing to items and get pretty decent reads on them?

Thinking of rolling one up but won't if I have to wait until he's 30 to have a decent time singing to items..

Depends on your skill with bard songs. I have a level 11 bard who can sing to pretty much anything.

I use the same song for everything on my bard. She's been able to see nearly everything since I tweaked the song at around 18. The only thing I still sometimes can't get is a high level spirit spell (she's 29 now). I can always see the circle, charges, etc, just sometimes not the spell name.

You can get about 75-80% of loresong information once you reach about level 20. The trouble crops up when it's a high level spirit based spell, 1119 or 219 are both good examples of spells you probably will not get at level 20. 712 is tricky because it is sorc based....might be able to get it at level 15-18.

So long as you can hold an item you can always get whether it is enhancive, the item enchant and such. You'll simply run into issues with imbedded spells and maybe some high end loresong stories.

Allereli, was pretty much spot on for what level a bard should be to get all loresong info, assuming you use well made songs or really know the keywords.
