forging lances

has anyone else noticed that lance shaft seem to be crazy ree-dik-you-luss hard? I have been grinding away for over three hours with only one best piece. Are these things buggy and I missed it?

No, it's not a bug from what I can tell. I took about 5 hours straight to get the best.

From what I can tell the GMs are making it very VERY damn hard to even remotely get a perfect lance.

More fun less tedium indeed.

i just made three more perfect mauls today :). i made 9 best heads and 9 best shafts and got lucky with three best vises.

but on average if i spend a whole day forging, i'll get about five best pieces of whatever part of the maul i am focusing on.

It's like 4-6 times harder to forge a lance it seems. From what I can tell with some crude testing. If anyone makes a perfect lance post it!
