You throw back your head and holler your war cry! It doesn't seem to have the awe-inspiring effect you had hoped for.

You need to give your vocal cords a bit of a rest!

What's your influence stat?

Influence (INF): 60 (15) ... 60 (15)

Wow... Is it consistently that bad? I set myself up with high influence on one of my characters in order to use warcries, but his bonus won't get much past 15. If it's that bad, I'll just tank the stat instead.

The main thing driving my fixstat years ago was getting influence up for warcries.

Mastering with a stat of 60 must have been quite the pain in the ass. Good job.

So is it influence stat that's of prime importance for warcries rather than influence bonus? A dwarf can't get past a bonus of 15 unless he has enhancives.

I assumed everything was bonus-based. My warrior is an elf so he gets it a lot earlier. It wasn't that bad, except for field reps in Cry (which will suck for everyone)

It's not usually this bad, but I'm pretty sure the more war cries you miss, the more you'll miss. I'm pretty sure that vocal stress is part of the equation as to whether or not you'll succeed, so with Holler, you miss it on the first try (maybe 1 in 3 for me), and miss it again, you're pretty much screwed. I almost never get Holler off with anywhere past 50% stress.

edit: I'm going to start counting successes and failures in Psinet, I think.
