When marketing a high end infusable scroll, the pawnshop appraised value of said scroll is of use to discriminating scroll purchasers. Not that I would be interested in this scroll, seeing as how I don't swing and have a 613 self charger, but it is good to know, it can make a big difference.

That scroll is from the treasure system, Viril. Not any old merchant. They simply prettied it up with the new scroll cutters from Ebon Gate. 4k value is about what you expect. It isn't super high, but as pointed out by Allereli 101 drags it down a bit. However, it was unlocked favorably and I stand by my estimations of the amount of charges it will give.

Evarin's right. I found this hunting a couple days ago. Frankly, I'm surprised at the low value too, considering the prices I get for many scrolls, though I suppose those have spell ranks in the high teens. I've never seen a critter-found scroll go for more than 7 or 8k, but that's just in my own experience.

I'm not, I put over 200 mana into that scroll, I believe the pawn value goes down when you infuse it.

Yep. Each time you invoke a scroll, infused or not the value drops. With infused scrolls, after the scroll locks, even if there are spells left with charges, the scroll will become worthless to the pawnshop. You would actually have to pay the bastard to take it off your hands. heh.

does the value go down with just infusing? Obviously I'm the laziest person alive to not have tested this myself.

I am 90% sure it does. You are expending the mana afforded to the scroll by the act of infusing it. I could be wrong on that, but I doubt it.
