Seeing traps

I was wondering how much training it would take for me to be able to see all of the traps on boxes from Nelemar. I'm a ranger with 101 perception ranks. Would I get more benefit from training disarm (2/4 tp/rank) or 2xing perception (0/4 tp/rank)? And does anyone know what kind of bonus 613 adds?

Not sure about 613. But basically you want your disarm skill bonus, perception skill bonus, spell bonus, and Intuition bonus, to add up to 100 more than the highest trap you'll face so you will always see it on the first attempt.

Edit: I think 618 may help with disarming. Not sure about detecting.

Interesting. So currently, I have...

201 perception bonus + 25 INT bonus + ? 613 bonus = 226 + ?

I could 2x perception to add another 101 bonus for 404 mtps, or I could 1x disarm for 202/404 tps to receive a 201 bonus. Unless I did both, that still seems low for Nelemar boxes, right?

yeah, that's still low. trap lore?

Nelemar boxes go up to 480ish or maybe a rare 500. Would be expensive for a ranger to do. Find out the exact bonus of 613 and 618. Oh yeah, 404 also adds to the detecting equation. It's possible that 402 does as well.
