well, I guess so far, the Pac-10 was stronger than most people thought, jury's still out for the Big 12 and SEC, The ACC and Big East look mediocre but holy shit the Big 10.... just flat out sucks, for the third year in a row.

The MWC should have a challenge series with the Big 10 for the Big 10's automatic BCS berths.

I'd take Utah and TCU straight up against Penn State and Ohio State this year. Not to mention Utah's won more BCS games than all of the big 10 have since 2003.

My alum won their bowl (UH/Air Force). I'm happy.

Your alma mater won as many bowl games as the entire big 10 conference did. So either that's great, or, well, the big 10, or blob 10, as many college football message board fans call it, is showing yet again, for the third year in a row why they, and not the big east, are the embarassment among BCS conferences.

They were even gift wrapped two games, both Georgia and Missouri both laid a complete egg in their bowl games. Only against the blob 10 can a team lay a complete and total egg and still win the game.

You just described Georgia's whole season. LoL @ preseason #1. (and yea, I know Auburn laid an ostrich egg for the whole season... picked #1 in SEC west...)

Ole Miss is looking pretty fucking good here too. Go SEC.

And down goes the Alabama.

Seriously, give the MWC the Blob 10's BCS spot. Utah, as a team has won twice since 2004 now, which is two more than the entire Big 10 conference has since 2003.

0-5 now in the last 3 years with one more chance to go when Ohio State plays texas.

THAT was awesome. TCU and BYU still have a little ways to go though and the rest of the conference is pretty weak and Wyoming barely belongs in division 1. The Big 10 might be bad but dumping them outright seems premature. Penn State might have lost but they were still a good team, I'd take them over TCU or BYU easy.

The big 10, for the last 3 years, has been an utter embarassment, especially in the BCS.

2007 - Florida 41 Ohio State 14, USC 32 Michigan 18 (7 of those points in garbage time with 1 minute left)
2008 - USC 49 Illinois 17, LSU 38 Ohio State 24 (again 7 points in garbage time)
2009 - USC 38 Penn State 24

in 3 years, not a single team has even come within 2 touchdowns of their opponent.

Take a serious look at the MWC, and look at the Big 10 again.

Utah beat a good Alabama team. Penn State was down 31-7 at the half to USC. Conference Champion vs Conference Champion.

TCU beat Boise State in their bowl game, and their only losses are to Oklahoma, and Utah. Who exactly has Ohio State beaten this year? If Ohio State takes a beating from Texas, how can you justifiably say that TCU is any worse?

BYU is by no means a powerhouse, but Michigan State? are you serious?

Going 2-6, 1-6, 1-5, etc. in your bowl games 3 years running takes a level of suck that is just unbelievable, and it says everything you need to know about a conference. It's not that it's just one year. This is 3 years in a row they are stinking up their bowls.

Capital One hasn't renewed their conference affiliation with the Big 10 in advance (even though they HAVE with the SEC), and I wouldn't be surprised in 2 years if the Capital One bowl (the highest payout bowl that isnt a BCS game) drops the Big 10 for the Big 12 or Pac-10.

to be fair, three of those losses were at the hands of U$C. U$C is like a hydra, when a starter goes down, they have three back-ups that grow even stronger. I hate them.

*Big ten does indeed suck though.

USC was a very good team this year, but last year, that group was quite vulnerable, losing to stanford on their home field, AND Oregon. And the year before that, they were not a great team, with lots of close calls in their own conference, with 6 of their games decided by 7 points or less, in which they went 4-2. It's just that the big 10 was not even close to one of those games within 7 points.

I am not going to defend U$C because I hate the bastards, BUT, if you are judging them by margin of victory you are going to be the next team they roll over. Carrol won't run up scores against pac teams.. unless it is UCLA. He will punish non-conference opponents, especialyl if he is making a statement to the BCS. U$C has one of the best teams money could buy. Bastards.

I was happy to sacrifice an SEC loss to see Alabama get handled... such a thing of beauty.

Same here. I thought going in South Carolina and Kentucky would be the two losses. Kentucky won so I'm totally good with `Bama shitting the bed.

and down go the fuckeyes to a completely and obviously unmotivated Texas team that didn't deserve to win, completing a 3 year stretch of utter shit for the big 10 unmatched by any other conference in the BCS era.

3 years, 6 BCS bowls, 6 losses, although at least they came within 2 touchdowns in 1 of the games. They make the Detroit Lions 0-16 season look pro.
