View Full Version : Items on the ground

So anyone in the Landing area with their amulets on is probably part of this debate. Two people come to the amulet and say a third person stole from them. The situation is they left a 10x shield on the floor of their table, invited the third person to their table, that person took the shield and left.
Of course the entire thing could be a lie. The other thing is that they are saying the Gods should get the shield back for them. Everyone knows the Gods say if you left it on the ground too bad. (For example if the game had shut down, they would've lost that shield and too damn bad).
So what do you guys think? Should the entire town go and kill this guy (which the two are trying to get) or are they wrong and stupid?
I voted for the latter.

1. Names please.
2. You're right.
3. PsiNet is better than the thought net.

I saw it on the net. They're dumb. Who cares?

I'm not entirely sure of the names... there's like a billion people involved. I think they said Sheradon stole it and it's Warlorious and Eriador.

Well they're retarded, and Sheradon is awesome.

And this is about the extent of one of their vocabulary.
Eriador grimly says, "Get."
>
Eriador grimly says, "Bent."
>
Eriador grimly says, "Jesus."

If it's on the ground.. it's not stealing. Period.
Trust me.. I know all about stealing.

Anyone with a brain knows that Gods don't care about your stupid little shield.
The GMs might, though.
Also, it was on the ground. How stupid do you have to be to leave something so valuable on the ground, even at a table?

You *almost* have a case when someone runs into your table uninvited and steals your shit, but with the new (old) invite system you deserve no sympathy if you continue to leave a 10x shield on the ground after inviting someone to your table.
That sentence was long. :(

They claim everyone in Landing is heartless for not running off to help them kill Sheradon. They've also put out a 1mil bounty on Sheradon

1mil.. yeah.. I'd rather steal the shield myself thanks.

So I went to his table to try to explain to him that he wasn't going to get his shield back (and to call him an idiot to his face because he was whining about how no one would do anything but think to him). And him and his sidekick with the one phrase vocab of "get bent" didn't even let me being to speak before they started yelling and screaming and threatning me.
Then captain badass begins to tell me that the only reason I'm there is because I'm unhappy with my life and I'm fat and ugly and pathetic :?: It was seriously one of the saddest human encounters I've ever had in my life. Then after they got tired of yelling as I calmly replied, they both got up and left the table...
Leaving a weapon on the ground in the process.

Can I have it?

I did, and then thought on the net that I would leave it on the ground outside his new table so everyone on the net realized what a dumbass he was. I thought about cursing it, but decided not to incase someone besides him got to it first

Yeah man who the hell leaves a 10x shield on the friggin ground? If you can hold a 10x item, then clearly you're not a newb who doesn't know better. You're just...not that bright.
They don't deserve to get it back. Smarten up.

This is why I wish I wasn't too lazy to get the 41k experience required to hold 10x.

Unless you bought the character and the shield came with it heh.
And if it's on the ground it's fair game. If I like you, you get it back. If I don't like you it goes in my locker

I've purchased 6-8x weapons, armor, and shields at the pawn shop only to hear someone crying over the net about someone buying their stuff before they realized it. If they don't get their stuff back .... why should an idiot who leaves 10x gear on the ground get a second thought?

Jesus Christ on a crutch, I agree with Bob. Someone stop me before I yack.
Now heck ... ain't nothing wrong with them wanting the shield back or putting out a bounty or trying to get a posse up. They can do what they want. But I hope the GH answering the assist pointed at their limp dicks and laughed.
rule one, dont put stuff on the ground.
idiots.

Edine is right. They deserve it for being so fucking stupid. I bet they won't do it again.

Yeah.
And a 1 million bounty for return of the shield? WTF. Lemme figure this one out.
A 10x shield'd go for what, 10 million? 20 million?
AND YOU CAN'T FUCKING GET IT OFF THE BODY ANYWAY.
If I had that shield I'd sure sell it on eBay or else hang on to it for a year and sell it then.

Simply they can't do anything, effectively. For the record, 10x shields go for around 12 mil, dependant on breakage.

report This stupid cunt is killing me and giving me DR points. Whine whine whine.
[SEND] GM Fag: They are now locked out.
"But he stole my shield!"
GM Fag doesn't care.

Except theft is consent to CvC. So nah nah nah.

Sure, but prove it, though. The GMs can't go wasting someone every time someone talks smack about theft. Otherwise that'd be a pretty good revenge tactic. "Hey that nasty fellow stole from me so of course I had to deed him!""
