Some shiny new images of the Star Wars game that Bioware is developing with the Hero Engine. Looks good!

This is going to be an interesting release. KoTR was amazing, so I have no doubt the gameplay will be superb. Online play won't be paid monthly, instead the profits will come from microtransactions. Essentially, if you want better gear you gotta fork over cash.

I liked KoTOR as well as any other RPG out there, but I also liked SWG's original concept too.

This game seems interesting, but from what I've read of it it's going to focus mainly on the character building aspect of it. I always loved the idea in games like that of the community aspect. The crafting, merchanting, and political schemes SWG brought to the table for example.

My biggest fear is that this game will turn out just to be a WoW clone slapped together with KoTOR style mechanics. Kinda cookie cutter. It'll still probably be fun, but it just doesn't seem like something I can get into.

Microtransactions will kill it if they go nuts with it like every other game seems to be doing these days.
