I need to find a way to get around the 150$ flight change fee.
I want to leave tomorrow or the next day instead of Jan 2nd. They charge a bull shit fee of 150$ to change that. The flight itself I want to switch to only costs 167$. I payed double that amount on the flight I am now. They should be fucking giving me money back.
Anyone know of a way to get around the fee, or anyone work there that can pull some strings :P.

I travel 3-4 times a week, usually. The answer, I promise, is no.
Edit: Unless you have the top, top, status with a given airline. I can only get my fees waived on US and AA where I am Chairman and Executive Platinum.

A retard broke enough to care about $150 bucks for a weeks worth of his time?

No a person who would rather not dish out 150$ to change a flight. A normal person?
Don't derail this mother fuckers.

Well. That's an interesting question Sean. So, since you asked I will explain.
For one, it's the holidays and I tend to get very reflective around this time of year. I'm pretty happy because of the position I've found myself in life especially compared to where I was before. I have a lot to be thankful and I'm grateful for the blessings of life.
More specifically speaking there a few things that make me exceptionally happy.
I got offered a new position in my office which is really cool.
I will be going to Vegas for new years
and this weekend I will be meeting up with an old friend from HS who incidently enough I recently found out had a huge crush on me and who is also a model.
If you have any questions about any of this, please let me know ;)
Merry Xmas!

Those are the terms you agreed to when you bought the ticket in the first place. You won't be able to get out of it.

That's sounds stupendous. Which hotel will you be staying at in Vegas? Will you internet access? How much does your flight cost? Taking any chicks or just going to score them there?
Thanks for the updates.
The only time I've ever avoided the change fee was when I schmoozed one of the reservationists/managers. Being platinum elite status with Continental was probably the primary reason rather than the schmoozing.
Otherwise you're pretty much SOL.

I am in vegas for new year's too. I, capitol h, Hate vegas. Used to love it. Now my inlaws live there. I have been to Vegas like 8 times in the last two years. Have not been to a casino or a show in 2 years. Lots of time looking at babies though... and carefully not spilling coffee on doilies. Fun fun stuff. Sin city indeed. And just cause we are trying to derail the thread, guess how many religious icons my in-laws have in their house...
No, too hard, how about guess how many religious icons they have in the room I am staying in.
Clue: they are filipino.

lol. Douglas D indeed, but no. HOWEVER, grandpa in-law swears on a stack of icons that he took a bullet for the general.
Just counting crucifixes in the room brings me to more icons than one hand has fingers... just to give you some idea as to the epic religiousitiness that is going on up in this mutha.

It's a fuckin scandle. Book way early and recieve the best rates. Fuck that shit. I booked these flights in June. I payed around 800 for the flights. If I hadn't of booked that eary I could have payed 500 or less. Why book early?
Think if I called and reemed them out about the amount I payed and the amount I could have payed if I hadn't booked early then be like well I want to switch my flight from here to here. I'll pay the 150$ fee but I want the 300$ back that are in the difference.

If you change a ticket, you pay the fee and get back or pay the difference in ticket price. Often, thus, changing a ticket can save you money sometimes.

Ha ha! I have Filipino in-laws (well, we're not married yet, but engaged) in Vegas also. Haven't visited them, though. One of them's a retired ambassador that seems pretty nice. Dunno how religious.
I must have gotten lucky. There're maybe three or four crucifixes around my boyfriend's parents' place and they had given up inviting us to church even before we moved out of the same city. They accepted their defeat pretty gracefully.

Tell them you think people in the military are retarded, that should get them to waive the fees. Make sure you're wearing sandals made of hemp and burning a flag while you do it though or they won't buy it.

Let this be a lesson to buy an open ended ticket if you think you might need to make changes. Like visiting in-laws. Always pay the extra to change your dates around!
I have a credit from Continental for like $300 so dollars. I'd help you out an get ya a ticket, but it needs to be in my name. Shame, because the thing is going to go to waste.

I never make my bed unless it's laundry day, hahaha. J does it super quick before he gets in bed, otherwise it's all messy most of the time.

I heard kids don't make beds because a lot of them have never had beds... growing up sleeping on cardboard boxes due to their dad being jobless deadbeats.
Guess we can see if beatings override that...
I never make my bed except on cleaning day, which happens randomly about once a week. No one but me and my boyfriend ever see it and we don't care, so what's the use?

Sounds like a lot more angst coming from the authoritarian bed making community than from the apathetic youth.
As an aside, I haven't properly made my bed one time since my wife left. I only did it for her anyway, I only untuck half the side now...it doesn't even get that messy. I also still don't have a "bed" as in I don't have a headboard or footboard, is that wrong?

That's basically how I feel. If someone is coming over and on the rare chance they have to come into my room, i'll make it. But otherwise, seriously, who cares? J only makes it real quick (no sheet-tucking or anything, just smoothing out the sheet and blanket) because i'm usually the last to get up and I toss and turn a lot, so it's usually all crumpled.
I kinda wished I made the bed before my mom came down this Thanksgiving though. It was my mom so I didn't bother, but I so should have. We were in my room, and my mom was sitting on our bed on my laptop. The sheets were clean but there was like.. a permanent wet-spot-looking stain. As soon as I noticed it I covered it up with the blanket but it was too late, and she was laughing at our love juice stains. :(
