So, ran out at 6am to do that early morning, beat the rush, day after Christmas shopping to score some deals. Not a damn thing worth it this year. If you're in the market for a 720p HDTV, you can score one pretty cheap. And I saw a lot of laptops/desktops under $500 with pretty decent specs. Ended up just getting a few things for the house at 25% off. Sort of wish I just stayed in bed though.

Anyone else brave the endless shopping lines for some good deals?

Nah, although the 26th is usually a good day, this economy has made all of those deals you normally would have slogged through eight feet of snow to get happen much earlier since many retailers are fighting bankruptcy at this point.

The good deals are going to be the entire store liquidations that are going to happen for those retailers that go out of business. Most will probably wait until January to do that, unless it would work better for tax reasons to happen before New Years.

Circuit City's local liquidation they did a few weeks ago was insane. Half price on everything in the store the first weekend, 75 percent off the second weekend. I picked up a Nikkor lens for my camera for $100 that sells on Ebay for $300. If I had more money at that time I would have bought every 120hz TV I could.

The local Circuit City isn't going under. Yet.

The ones around here are, but when I went in on Black Friday, they had shit left and it wasn't worth wading through all the misplaced crap.

Took the kids out to redeem their gift cards. They got a lot of 70% off deals on their clothes (teenagers) that I wouldn't have gotten had I shopped Christmas Eve. My little guy got jipped at Toys R Us. Nothing he bought was on sale. I didn't see anything impressive.
The teenagers picked up some reese's bells and hersheys cherry cordial kisses. WTF? The grocery store was still charging full price for their holiday candy.

I managed to get some black pearl with karat diamonds earrings for about $40 and another Juicy Couture and Nicole purse for 60-100 bucks today. Gamestop had a long ass line but legit sale. Snagged me some Silent Hill and Resident Evil games as well.
