Looking for UNIQUE or 10x perfect forged brawlers. If you got something cool though let me know. Paying in Currency of United States of America.

Good luck with your search. I don't think any "ultra-high end" brawlers exist, period.

I don't know about ultra high end, but there are some nice fist-scythes out there. I have no idea who owns them though. In my opinion, the best thing to do is have a perfect one forged from your favorite metal/wood, have it enchanted 7x, and pray you find a merchant that can add something really nice to it.

Or train for a decent weapon type :D

yes, you definitely should get a nice longbow :)

I'm sure there are few 7x-8x forged perfect brawling weapons out there. There are even a few mid-enchant weighted ones too. I would look for something around 8x, perhaps with dual flares from that EG merchant last year. My guess is that is as good as it gets.

Got a perfect 5x fist-scythe with switchable fire/vibration flares.

Oh yeah, there was a +42 imflass knuckle-duster at Anfelt. But... it's a knuckle-duster.

I am surprised more people didn't go for Web/unbalance flares. A weapon with both would be awesome.

Get a perfect 7x fist-scythe. That's about all you'll need -- there's no reason to do brawling as a main weapon type except Voln Fu anyway.

Unless you get OHE too, in which case the obvious choice is a 7x perfect katar.

The Ironwright holy flares were awesome. Wish they had been offered this year.

I bet the galvorn gauntlet is out there somewhere. That thing was fun.

You mean the weighted fist type things? Jinsem probably owns it. I know that bastard owns both war balls.

Jinsem does own it, and I don't think it even uses brawling, I think it's a falchion or something nonsensical. And there is a few nicely weighted hook-knives, which are alright if you ambush (basically the same as a dagger).

masterfully crit weighted, fist-based

Or am I thinking of some other weird thing

Yup. I remember a negative enchantment on it too.

Nvm, just found the minor mental list, supposedly theres a spell that can give you a chance to get a chance for your fists to flare. sounds sorta crappy but i'll wait till what they've got in mind.

BTW, anyone know of the best cloth armor in the game? Any cloth armor with tons of crit padding around?

Belnia

No, because there never were nice sets of robes.

Not true! Rhys found a set of 10x robes left at a table a long time ago. I'd say as far as robes go... that's pretty awesome. Think about it... crit padding on robes is pathetic, you never overcome the DF unless you are into big time padding, right?

There actually used to be at least oneset of 7 or 8x masterfully crit padded robes, course I havent seen em in ages but hey who knows.

Theres also more then 2 war balls though to be honest I dont think they are actually viable weapons unless converted to something modern which would likely gut them too.

Either I am crazy or there was also a set of 10x robes with a large amount of damage padding out there at one time.

I have a identical pair of somewhat crit weighted 6x tigerclaws, a 4x heavily damage weighted tigerclaw, and one of those deathclaws that are attuned to figures, double strikes and is 6x.

I've been holding onto these for freaking ages in the hope & prayer that unarmed combat would get the so oft/long promised revamp and release

(sigh)

Can't help but wonder and dream as to the majesty of a Monk using these

wearing padded cloth armor is like cutting a hole in a Viva paper towel and shoving your head thru it. Yeah, its an amazing paper towel, but its pure shit for actual safety and protection

If you're wearing robes, you probably don't need that much protection anyway. Also, it's "through." Fuck thru and whoever thought it up.

the thing about robes is this... mechanically you might as well be wearing light or full leather instead, it is not as if, even if you're a wizard, you'll get MORE hinderance with it. So it is like free protection with no trade off. (a couple pounds in weight aside).

I'd guess 10x hcp robes are cheaper than 10x hcp leathers. Also, I'd bet it's an aesthetics deal at that point, too. I suppose you could get an armor concealer, but meh.

I'd say 10x HCP robes are more expensive due to the almost complete lack of them. The main appeal for crit padding on robes is for monks.

I tried making this argument in the past, and got poo-poo'ed. I agree though.
