I'm on vacation as of today and am trying to get to my mom's house. Of course, last night all three roads out of this forsaken town were closed. They're open at the moment, but expected to be closed in 1.5 hours. I'm all packed, have the car loaded up, and one of my stupid rats managed to escape and now I can't find him anywhere. I've been looking for him for three hours now. I can't leave him home alone for the next 9 days, but if I don't get out while I can, I'll be stuck here till Monday afternoon. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr And now off to search some more.

I don't think I would've taken the time to post about my dilemma but that's just me.

Towns actually trap their residents on purpose? I can't imagine living someplace with only three roads out. Must be a mountain community?

I use to keep pet rats years ago. Unless there's a cat in the house or something, she ought to be pretty self sufficient if there's food and water around. But then mine was so tame if she did get out I just had to lie down in the floor and watch TV for a while and pretty soon she'd come over and crawl up on my shoulder to get petted.

Obviously, past history now; but how'd the story come out?
