I agree with Ignot-- they need to send their kids off and work some shit out if they really wanna be responsible parents. From previous threads it's obvious the kids have been used as "weapons" of sort, so sending them away removes that retarded temptation to drag them into the middle of it. Any kid who's experienced something similar can likely vouch that sort of thing fucked them up far more than their parents finally just getting the fucking divorce and going their separate ways. It's the months of fighting and antagonizing and being tossed around back and forth that does all the damage.

Pulling the kids out of the house might really and truly be the best thing for them. A friend or family member could get temporary custody until things get straightened out and one of their parents is really able to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them. Even if the kids wound up going into foster care, it's not really a terrible thing. I was in quite a few foster homes as a kid, and while not ideal, they were a better place for me to have been than with my parents at times. One thing that would be a huge benefit, in my opinion, would be for her (and possibly you, since we've only heard your side of the story) to take parenting classes and realize how bad-mouthing you is hurting the kids.

Heck yeah, if any of this BS is true, I would be paranoid as hell. Carrying around either a notepad or video camera, and having other people document at all times where I am and for how long. Make sure you can prove your whereabouts. None of this, well I was at the bar but no one would recognize me. Or I was driving around to clear my head.
