I used to live at 11525 Ohio Ave. It's one block north of that theatre. They have great popcorn.

Let me know if you want food recommendations while you're there.

El Coyote homey

I've never been there but I've heard a ton about it. What else can you recommend?

Sushi: U-Zen (cheap and very, VERY good)
Persian: Javan (supposedly the best in all of LA)
Pizza: La Monica's (they ship the water they use in their dough from NYC)
Burger: Father's Office (I've heralded this place for months now. It's a few miles from the theatre, but it's worth the taxi ride. I've considered flying back to LA for a day-trip just for the burger/beer experience of F.O.)
Thai: Greenview Thai in the strip-mall w/ Hollywood Video (Santa Monica and Barrington, I think).

Those are the places we'd go most often in the 'hood.

Awesome. I'm going down there Tuesday too, might try the sushi place.

Where do you live now?

I lovee LA. I live an hour from there. I still have to go visit Seamus in Hollywood.

Honestly, you should go find the Universal Studies City Walk, it's alot of fun during the weekends. But the weather has been pretty crappy.

Also, go to Sunset Blvd to go find some trannies!

Eat. On Sunset is a good restaurant in hollywood. Hmm...I can't think of anything else right now. Go to Tiger Heat, it's an awesome gay club. Trust me.

Don't take this the wrong way. I have nothing against you personally -- but this advice is bad.

Universal City Walk is chain restaurants and tourist knick-knack shops. If you're looking for people watching, which is the one thing it's good for, then go to Third Street Prominade in Santa Monica (MUCH closer to the threatre, Universal City Walk is in North Hollywood). If you're going to the prominade, GO TO FATHER'S OFFICE BEFORE OR AFTER!

Sunset Blvd can be a good time. But it's out of the way and pretty expensive. But if you're looking for a memorable night on the town, it's definitely where you should go.

Never been to On Sunset, but generally everything in Hollywood sucks ass. It's a tourist death-trap that any self-respecting tourist would avoid at all costs. Go look at your parents photo album if you want to see Hollywood.

On, and on gay clubs, I've got nothing. My wife went to them with her girlfriends to dance w/o being assaulted -- but I imagine you wouldn't go there for the same reasons.

Pink’s hotdog stand.

That's better advice, but again, it's sort of out of the way from where you'll be.

Hehe. HEY. You can pick up alot of straight chicks at gay clubs if you're hot. I've seen it happen.

Edit: I tried picking out some places or him to visit. Honestly I can't really remember anything good other than 3 of the places Keller suggested. I haven't roamed around LA for awhile, and when I do is straight to Hollywood for my tranny and gay friends.

I'd rather get a hot hooker or escort than go to tranny or gay bar.

Si si. If you're gonna end up on the promenade the Venice boardwalk is cool for people gazing. I've lived within 5 miles of the place most of my life and I'm still entertained by all the crazies. I just wouldn't hang out there after dark, it can get a little wild.

If you're into Mexican food I know all the awesome hole in the wall places if you need some recommendations for that. I hope you enjoy your trip!!

Lyonis is spot on w/ the Venice rec.

If you're into people watching, Venice might be the best place in LA.
