Just for curiousity's sake, are there many people who've earned the "Hero" title? It seems like this is the most difficult task in the Adventurer's Guild and a lot of people just turn them in, not to mention the fact that only 1 capped hunting ground has the option to even do these tasks. I stopped doing them for a long time once I capped, but I've recently reconsidered because "Droit Dassamar the Hero" is too damn cool (and I've got all of the other guild titles but two and Teras doesn't offer escorts). Here's where I'm at now:

You have succeeded at the Rescue Child task 249 times and failed 20 times.

A lot of those were done pre-cap in the Bowels and Eye of V'tull, but a good 75-100 or so have been from the temple.

If Im not mistaken, you need to rescue 500 children to get the Hero title. Im pretty sure that takes into account your failures, so in your case you will need 520. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

I dislike the bounties that make you kill a certain number of critters before the kid/heirloom/grizzled-monster come out. I'd rather just go searching for an heirloom, kill a number of critters, etc. Easy experience, and all that.

No, that's correct. Though it'll probably be something like 600 by the time I get there...

Well, the failures actually count against your total, so I would need 520 successes to get the hero title. My record would have to look like this...

You have succeeded at the Rescue Child task 520 times and failed 20 times.

...for me to get the title.

I don't mind the constructs. As I've stated, I just learned a way to beat the system. 6 hits consecutively tend to break an anti-magic barrier with ease.

Edited to add: And for fuck's sake, Swami. That's ridiculous. You need to get your ass over to OTF and get that last herb title, stat!

Meh, it's nothing training couldn't overcome. It's not impossible, just a pain in the ass.

I find the travel in which you're not absorbing at saturated a pain in the pass for child rescue. I like using the most of the 138 logic I've got. :)

Working on the herb tasks now. But fading and construct tasks drive me nuts.

i only take rescue tasks in the temple if its something that spawns near the entrance or the stairs.

I think I'm the only one with the Hero title that I know of. I've asked around and I don't think even Tsin has it.

Are you the Hero of Zul Lugoth? Because I know I've seen someone with that title. Can't remember the name off the top of my head though.

Although, that title might be for something different. Who the hell does 500 child rescues out of zul lugoth?

You're right. Forgot about that title. This is just plain Hero. Or really the Hero of kids :shrug:

Given that someone has done that many bounties, I really wonder what an updated, inclusive fame list would look like. I know Kaedra is climbing, with 600m, but a ton of people have fame disabled... and while we're talking about super uber numbers, I wonder if Tsin still has the most experience. I know he hasn't played in months, and there are others on his tail...

It is an amazing amount of time... I can't think of another game in the history of gaming that people have put this much time into. WoW doesn't even come close, mostly because it's still relatively new compared to gemstone...

I'm pretty sure that was a custom title given out during some storyline a few years back. I seem to remember Xulia, Kadesha, and a few others having it bestowed on them.
