Shields and Brawling

Does carrying a shield in your left hand hinder your brawling attack? Does it add defense or are you generally better off with both hands empty (or holding a tiger-claw or such in the right)?

Does holding a shield affect Voln-Fu? I'm training a ranged/Fu ranger and if a shield is useless I don't want to waste those TPs.


Also, I hate to brag on my own atavar, but damn, don't Mariska look good?!?!

It effects Voln Fu, not too badly though. If I were a Halfling Rogue who had some kind of magical ability to train in wtrick sperf I could just 5% defense while casting 102 and blow all the spectral warriors in River's Rest. That would be neat.
