I thought none of the hello kitty themed things would ever top the AK47....but that was before the hello kitty themed maternity hospital. Everything is pink hello kitty themed from the walls to the dressers to blankets and sheets, while nurses and doctors dress in pink hello kitty scrubs. I kinda have to wonder if the speculum is pink too.
YUANLIN, Taiwan (Reuters Life!) - Mommy, daddy -- and Hello Kitty -- welcome newborns at a cat-themed Taiwan maternity hospital that hopes the Japanese cartoon icon will ease the stress of childbirth as well as boost business.

Duh! I knew that. Guess all the hello kitty pinkness overload induced a temporary (hopefully) short circuit.

I actually have a Hello Kitty themed item story: My friend has a big warehouse and a friend of friend was storing a motorcycle there while he lived in the Bahamas. The guy shows up on the bike (GSXR 1000) and it has a custom Hello Kitty paint job. It was excitingly gay. So after a couple of months another of my friends gets the great idea that he will take it out and ride it around the parking lot for fun. Then some girls show up so he naturally starts doing wheelies and tricks on it and then - this story ends how you expect it to - he crashes it. He wasn't wearing any gear other than a helmet and wiped out doing about 60 MPH. We had to take him to the hospital, he had nasty road rash and then he had the embarrassing responsibility to pay for a brand new hello kitty paint job on the bike.

That is the greatest story I have ever heard.
