I am so annoyed right now that I have to post because I have no one left to yell at.
Don't you love when you die somewhere that no one is going to come to you and your closest friends ignore that you die? And even when you tell them, they don't come to help you at all? In fact they just leave and tell you good luck.

Blech! If those are friends, hon, you do not need any enemies. :(
HarmNone is sorry this happened to you

It's a 1k exp hit? I thought it was 10k plus DR points.

No, it's just DR points.
If you have a deed and decay, it's 1000. If you have no deeds and decay, it's 10000.

Kill them all and then hide their bodies, wish them luck, and walk away. That'll teach them.

Isn't using AIM to get help and OOC means of surviving? Why hunt smarter, or if its too hard for you, hunt in an easier area next time and stop whining, eh? Its not their fault you died in a stupid place.

I was gonna say something and then I saw it was StrayRogue and realized it was pointless.

Moan moan moan. Don't be a whiny little child and die in a place you can't handle next time. I repeat IT IS YOUR FAULT YOU ARE SHIT. NOT YOUR FRIENDS. If they are too busy to use OOC methods to come save some stupid little girl from an area too hard or too demanding for her, it is not their fault. Suck it up. Its not like you've even got to the hard area's of the game yet.

I agree with Stray.
No one's playing GemStone so they can come and rescue you.
Decay and take it.

As much as it pains me......If you hunt in Pinefar, that is a risk of the area. I've hunted there for 2 years, fully understanding, 90% of the time if I die, I decay. It sucks, but it comes with the territory. It's all about pro's and con's as far as where you hunt. When mine were younger I LOVED Zul Logoth, but if you died, you knew you were fucked. Same deal here.

I have to agree with Strayrogue and a few others on this matter. You hunted somewhere remote and you died. It’s part of the game. As a friend it isn’t their job to drop what they are doing and come save you. I know in the past when I played a cleric I used to ignore a lot of IMs for people asking me to come save them friends or not, luckily I don’t have that problem anymore. If you are so averse to decaying I suggest hunting in the landing where the locates will be plentiful and the raise opportunities maximized.

Eh, I don't know. I see both your sides.
I mean, yes in certain areas it's a pain in the ass to get to for a rescue, or save or whatever..Darkstone, out in RR..Hisskras and the like, Pinefar, the Rift, etc. So you got to understand some people's reluctance to go out there, and accept the possibility of decaying. However, you'd think a [good] friend would be willing to find you and save you if you die. About using OOC means to get help..well..one could argue the entire death process is OOC. I mean really, there's no banner in front of your face saying *Johnny just bit the dust! in real life if someone died. It's a means to let people know someone needs help.
I guess what I'm saying is a buddy ideally should help you out, but it's wrong to "expect" them to. Unless of course if these people ignored you when you needed help, but you've put your neck on the line for them in the past. Then yeah, I have to agree..that is an asshole move on their part.

As a player of a higher level empath, I'll occasionally get someone IMing me asking me to come save them. If I'm busy or out-of-area its tuff shit for them.
No one likes a whiny bitch.
BTW:
>10 Never EVER DR points
<10 1k flat DR points for decay
Until they say otherwise atleast

I just bitch at Tijay till he rescues me.
yea i have to agree with some of what was said in prime dying and decaying is only exp and as much as you think your friends are assholes for not dropping what they were doing to come save you ... are you any better of a friend for coming here and bitching about them for it? i know as a cleric i get a lot of IMs for rescues but if im busy they get over it. and certainly if your in another town in a secluded area i know they don't expect me to come get them. i think your showing a big lack of respect for your friends by calling them all assholes for not being on call for you, i know if one of my friends came here and started a thread cause i didn't save them i'd think twice about helping them out in the future.
ps. i'd agree with weedie more if you played plat and your hard earned gear was at stake but for some exp i think you need to learn to hunt in more populated areas if you're so anti decay.

Like dying means shit anyway. Decay. BFD.
Rather bitch and maybe lose a friend over 1k (or 10k BFD) experience?
Perhaps you should look inward, rather than place the blame on your 'friends'.
Oh, Edit to add, I hate it when folks log out of the game when they are dead. Thats just as OOC BULLSHIT as Vif pulls.

Yeah Tijay, I should have added my opinions are stemming from my own experiences and I play Plat..there as you all know there's droppage when you die but if you decay all your stuff on your person gets left at the spot you decayed..so yeah it sucks if no one gets you. But even there I know at all times that's a possibility..so I try to be as careful as possible and never assume someone's gonna save me.

Man, I died in Pinefar once and decayed. And it was tough shit for me ... what really happened is that I'd been resting in one of the caves with a bleeder and Sign of Staunching up, the phone rang, I didn't log out, I stopped paying attention, Staunching lapsed, and I bled out and decayed. So I would have been frigging embarassed if anyone rescued me from me being an idiot. You solo hunt in Pinefar, you're going to get beat down, and unless you have rings set for past Olbin Pass, it takes a long time to GET anywhere in Pinefar.
If you die never assume help, always assume you will decay, have deeds handy and be grateful if someone helps you (friend or not).
