Fellow Rocky Horror Supporters:
In only four months, we have gotten over 20,000 signatures on the petition! We have received support from a few celebrities as well. But MTV tells us they have no plans to stop the remake. It's sad, but true. But at least we were all able to stand together and let them know that we cherish the original. We'll keep gathering signatures until that damned movie comes out.

I'm usually the last person to say who cares, but wow the original movie is stupid. I guess I'm on the side of the petitioners...

I don't get the OMG they are remaking something that was awesome. BFD, don't like it, don't watch/play/read it. Like those fucks and the Watchmen movie/game.

Sure...it'll suck... but how exactly this will stop people from doing drunken Rocky Horror remakes/orgies on a regular basis for the next 20 years is beyond me...
(but if it does I might be for it)

Have any of you seen a midnight showing of Rocky Horror with a live cast performing it in the movie theater while the audience yells call-and-response lines at the screen? That's the true Rocky experience. The movie totally sucks on TV, but if you go to a Rocky performance, you'll understand why it's a true cult classic. There's a theater in New York that has shown RHPS every Saturday and Friday night at midnight for 30 years. If you haven't been to that, you haven't really seen the movie.
Edited to add: A remake is a horrible idea, in any case.

I signed, I love RHPS. Sure, I could just not watch the remake (and i'm sure I won't). I just don't understand why people have to fuck with perfection.

Quite a few times at my undergrad and at Virginia Tech, droit. A remake won't make a damn bit of difference to those people.

I don't understand the point of remaking it. I like the original and it has such a huge cult following it seems retarded to fuck with it. But whatever makes money I guess.
Sometimes I really hate the entertainment industry.
