My hand is definitely broken and has been for four days.

Also, my arms hurt. Like, a lot.

Thank you for your time.

From the hockey accident Bob? Did you go to the doctor? I hope it heals well.

Bobmuhthol
01-31-2004, 12:39 PM
I didn't, no. And it doesn't seem to be healing very well.

Well get your butt to the emergency room! Show your parents, don't suffer if its really broken then you could be doing permanate damage to it by not getting it treated.

Xcalibur

Eh, your «HAND» is broken? All the bones? Doubt it, so what bone (s) is (are) broken?

I doubt you have a "total" fracture (break), so it's surely on the surface, which should make your hand swelling.

Wear thick gloves :)

Exactly. What will you do now that you can't masturbate?

<<Eh, your «HAND» is broken? All the bones?>>

That's like ridiculing someone for saying they broke their arm or leg. Please die.

And I can masturbate. It was my left hand.

Seriously, go see a doctor. If it doesn't set right, you'll have a gimp hand for the rest of your life.

We should hijack this thread and turn it into one where people (Concisely) state why they are or have been dissatisfied in their life. Happy people can piss off.

OK with you Bob?

Isn't Soma that drug from Brave New World?

Xcalibur
01-31-2004, 01:15 PM
Hmm?

When someone break their arm, they break their Humerus (biceps) which TOTALY disable the arm. If they break either the radius or the cubitus and the other one is left alone, I think you can still control your hand but painfuly.

If you break your leg, you either break the femur (strongest bone, high part of the leg) or the tibia (lower part of the leg)

Either of those totaly disable your leg.

Your hand is divised in 3 parts (27 bones TOTAL). You didn't broke YOUR hand but one bone OF your hand (one, two, three, or whatever)

Die? no, I like living.

I don't know. What's Brave New World?

I know that they're pretty potent, though. Take too many and you'll find yourself in what we like to call a 'Soma Coma'. Drinking with them is adviseable.

"..there is always soma, delicious soma, half a gramme for a half-holiday, a gramme for a week-end, two grammes for a trip to the gorgeous East, three for a dark eternity on the moon..."

In the book when you take a lot of Soma and yer out for a month so its called a Soma Holiday. I think it's interesting that its actually a drug, with similar effects.

I just tried to look up what Soma actually means and found everything from "Body" and "Person" to "Moon" in Hindi. Also somewhere it said that it's a kind of Indian berry.

Not sure why this is so interesting.

If you think a fracture exists, Bob, you need to get an X-ray of the hand. There could be more than one fracture, or soft-tissue injuries of which you are not aware.

I wouldn't blame it on the our nation's high school teaching standards. I never made it out of the tenth grade.

I'm pretty sure it was required reading in 9th or 10th grade. I could be wrong.

I'm left-handed. I just happen to be faster and stronger with my right. My left has all the endurance and stamina, though.

In other news, I was moving a medicine ball and my hand kinda.. died, and nine pounds crushed my thumb on the edge of my desk. Probably no permanent damage, but it hurts.

And no offense Bob, but any time you say "Probably no permanent damage" I find myself questioning your medical certifications. Doctors are your friends, except psychologists (those bastards) and they'll help you out. Probably give you some bitching painkillers too, if you ask nice enough.

Yeah, uhh, I tend not to trust doctors anymore. When I got surgery on my mouth (gums trimmed) they decided stitches weren't needed. Apparently they were because I bled heavily for about 8 hours and couldn't eat or drink anything except water for three days.

Bob, if your hand doesn't heal right, they'll just have to rebreak and set the bones.

And you don't get numbed for that.

Boooooooooh. He is getting technical about ANYTHING he can to discredit anyone.

I am too, when I can. He didn't broke his hand, he broke a PART of his hand.

I believe I saw somewhere that any broken bone is more fragile in the future, even if "totaly" cured.

Where does this misconception come from that I dislike when someone calls me on doing something wrong? I don't care at all, I'm not perfect, I have a short temper, and I am a smartass.

To me, the epitome of being a smartass is making an entire post to telling someone that they didn't break their entire hand but one bone. When someone breaks one bone in their hand, they say they have a broken hand, not a broken fifth metatarsal (Yeah it's a foot bone but I don't know any hand bones off hand, lol.. maybe Tamral can google some for me.)

What the hell bob. Your 13 for gods sake. Its not like the Dr is going to rape YOUR pocket book. Just have your parents take you. Its not hard. Hell, if your parents refuse, go to the ER yourself and tell them your parents refused to bring you. The ER MUST treat everyone, even if you tell them you have no money.

Heh. Next time you want to post something and not want anyone to comment, write it down on a piece of paper and tape it to the monitor. That way no says anything about what you wrote and you won't go off on everyone for having opinions, exactly like the ones you love to give.

If you're going to dish it out, take it as well or shush. :P
