Someone please direct me to the deed formula? The ol' training level/deeds/whatever to get deeds at both the Manor and the Temple?

OK, I don't know the formula for Hearthstone, but at the temple it runs:
Level X 100
+ Deeds X 100
+ 100
And gems count three times their appraised value, so dropping a gem worth 800 is the same as dropping 2400 silvers.

While it's not worth it at lower levels, when you get to higher levels, just use dwarf-cut rubies for deeds in the temple. You can buy them in Northern Caravansary by Castle Varunar.
I can get around 50 deeds with those before I start having to drop 2.
As for Hearthstone, I used to use a broken alum lockpick. I was able to get a good number of deeds with that before I started having to use 2, but that was in GS3 so it might not be the same anymore.

I use 3 wands at a time at HS... can't remember how many you can get like that before you have to add another one, though. I normally just drop gems at the temple these days.

Not sure on Hearthstone, but one scarab seems to do the trick in the temple, regardless of level or how many deeds you have. Level 47, 30 deeds, and it is still one scarab.

Dingding. Winner.
Step 1: Buy dwarf ruby.
Step 2: Ring chime2x, drop ruby, ring chime, leave.
Step 3: Receive deed.
Step 4: Repeat until goddess finds one ruby insufficient. Go die a lot and come back later.

Howcome I can get around 50 deeds with 1 ruby, then if I switch to using 2 rubies, I can get maybe 70 before 2 isn't enough? I should be able to get 100+ if that formula is accurate.

you're assuming that it's a simple linear progression. probably not the case.

Alchemy tinctures work well for deeds at Hearthstone. 3 tkaro tinctures worked for my level 30 empath, up to about 30 deeds (and probably beyond, but I gave up on alchemy for a while). Acantha tinctures took about 20 for a deed, and 101 potions were... 9, I think? 10-20 tinctures is a lot, but what else is there to do with them?

The more deeds you get the higher the price. One ruby is serious overkill if you are low on deeds.

If they brought the fallen or lowered the price of the game I might come back.
Oh and if the Gamemasters stop being douchebags too.

On the wands thing, it seems to go up pretty quick. At least I was surprised with my most recent character. She was only about level 15 or so and down to one deed and three wands wasn't enough. Sometimes anyway. So I think it depends on the value of the wands. Since then I've only used the most valuable wands and had better luck with still only using two or three. The critters she's been hunting drop a lot of wands so might as well use them for deeds.
