Ok, so here's the deal.

I've got a Phillips hts3450/37 DVD Player/Home Theater w/ speakers, etc. The speakers are fine, but I'm looking into getting a new upconverting DVD player that has more sound adjustment options.

However, here is the catch. The speakers are all powered through the subwoofer, which only has a VGA input/output that connects it to the existing DVD player. None of the current DVD players I can find now have a VGA input/output. So are there any converting cables that would allow me to keep the speakers?

I looked into a VGA to S-Video cable, but they all seem to be converter dongles and work horribly.

What sort of crack can I smoke to make me think buying a subwoofer exclusively for DVD purposes is a good idea?

Edited to Seriously Add: Seriously though, S-Vid is the only thing that will work. Just place the woofer really close to the DVD player until the low vibes blow out your whole shit, you yellow bastard.

I'm not 100% sure, but my friend had a similiar issue with some really expensive speakers. He had to ditch them.

Can you give me the model of the woofer please? I'll do some looking around. I've got some audiophile buddies I'll see if I can get sober long enough to take a look as well.
