Whoa, whoa, BACK THE TRUCK UP. Guinness under no conditions is terrible, but it can get a lot better depending on the situation. It's worst and usually oldest in cans. Also Guinness is one of those beers you want to drink fresh. Find it on tap someplace that gets regular import deliveries, and you'll love it.

Yeah, I'm not much of a Guinness fan. Only time I've had it in awhile is part of an Irish car bomb, so I'll take your word for it.

Irish Car Bombs are good too. I just prefer it straight.

Try Smithwick's if you haven't already. It's got a little more tang than Guinness. Also very good.
