The shuttle Endeavour took off last night and for once I was around, the weather was right, and it was nighttime and I remembered.
So I grabbed my camera and took a quick picture. Unfortunately, it didn't come out that well since the lens immidiately fogged up (Thanks Florida Humidity!) and plus it was a long exposure and I didn't have a tripod.
It's pretty amazing to me that even from about 500 or so miles away it's still this big and bright. Big enough and fast enough that if you didn't know a shuttle was going up you'd be pretty freaked out.
