Who's excited? I'm excited. Anyone else getting this?

ehhhhhh. It should be OK. I don't really like either fighter. I'm waiting for a real fight. Spider VS. GSP would be a fight I'd pay $40 to see. I'll probably just go to the bar next door to watch this one.

Anyone know where GSP went? Haven't seen him in a while, and that dude is a beast.

GSP is fighting BJ Penn in January.

If Couture tries to stand with Lesner he will lose. If he takes Lesner to the ground he will win. more or less....

I think Couture has better standup than Lesnar. We saw that in the Tim Sylvia fight - the boxing, head movement, etc. On the other hand, I doubt Couture can take Lesnar down, and he'd have a bitch of a time keeping Lesnar down anyway. If that wasn't bad enough, there's no way Couture can stop Lesnar's takedowns.

Couture probably is the better fighter, but Lesner has ridiculous power. Lesner has yet to show any ground game, and tapped to a crappy ankle lock against a washed up Mir.

That's what makes the fight so intriguing. No one doubts Lesnar's strength, speed, size, and wrestling ability, but we've yet to see so much from him. We don't know if he's learned any decent submission defense since his loss to Mir. We don't know how he looks on his back, he's yet to take a significant punch in all of his fights, so we don't know how good his chin is. Despite his superman punch against Herring, we don't know how versatile his standup game is. Randy is going to test Lesnar's chin at some point in this fight, and hopefully put him on his back. That should be quite interesting to see what happens.

All I saw in this thread were huge boobs.
Pretty good thread. +1

Lesnar wins. I'm not surprised. Watching these 2 in the ring it became obvious there was nothing Randy could do.
Lesnar gets the winner of Mir and Minotauro. If Dana White has any sense he'll do everything he can to get Emelianenko.

That was a awesome chess on the ground when Randy almost got Lesnar to the ground, and Lesnar was able to grab his foot and get on top. I initially thought Lesnar was in trouble after seeing him breathe hard at the end of the first round, and again when he got that cut on his eye area early in the second. Well done with that templeshot! Maybe Lesnar's a rogue afterall...

I'm not sure who can beat him? They have to get him a shot with Fedor. Imagine the PPV buys for that.

Big Nog has a chance. I'd favor lesnar to win, but I certainly wouldn't rule Nog out.
I don't think he'd lose to mir again.

I think Nog beats Mir and he can beat Lesnar. Nog has never been finished. He's only lost 4 times and they were all to a decision. He took Fedor to a decision.

It'll depend on standup at that point, because Lesnar can stop Nog from taking him down. Heath Herring (who Lesnar completely dominated) almost knocked Nog out, and unless Nog can get the fight to the ground, I have to go with Lesnar.

You could definitely see that Lesner's ground game has improved some. Needs a lot of work to become a complete fighter though.
I think him getting a title shot after a 2-1 start to his career his absolute bullshit though and makes the UFC look like WWE.

Thats what drew an audience though. He handled himself extremely well last night and he should do fine in his title defense. If Lesnar beats Mir/Nog, and they manage to get a match between Fedor and Lesnar, it'll be a monstrous fight. Everytime they have a big, hyped up match, they call it the biggest fight in history, but that could be the biggest fight in UFC's history.
