My halfling archer recently turned 15 and was taken out by an elder empath for some up-hunting. First we went to Cyclop's, which are about 10 levels above me, then Fenghai, which are about 8. However, I couldn't hit either of them. I'd always get a message like:

Your arrow bounces harmlessly off the fenghai and lands on the ground.

I am doing something wrong, or is this there simply to prevent massive over-hunting?

Not sure why you got that with cyclopses, but fenghai need magical weapons to hurt them.

Are you aiming? Maybe turn that off and just try hitting them randomly.

Cyclops do too.

Edit - Need to be hit with a magical weapon, that is.

Bah! I didn't know that. There goes hunting them when my halfling gets older.

Just wondering, what are the limitations on e-blading? Can magic metal be ebladed?

Ignorance is not always bliss.

invar is about the only magic metal that can be ebladed, because, officially, it's 0x.

So, no, only non-enchanted things can be ebladed. Otherwise, you could get a 6x sword, eblade it, and have a 10x flaring weapon. Sheesh.

Screw the ebladed 6x sword. I want an ebladed 10x sword.
