Going with the Jets, not for any logical reason but because I hate the Pats.


I hate the pats and love Favre but I gotta go with the home team and Favre is all hit or miss.

But fucking this pool aside I hope Favre lights it up and kicks the patsies fucking asses.

How can you guys post your picks prior to game time ... it kills me to see it for a pool... I can understand jumping on a line from a gambling prospective early but not for a pool.

Maybe it's the years of gambling in me but it's just poor judgment.

Still having fun with you guys.. I love pools.

How can you guys post your picks prior to game time ... it kills me to see it for a pool... I can understand jumping on a line from a gambling prospective early but not for a pool.

There's actually $50 put up by solkern for this pool.

But still I don't get it as a competitor you should take every advantage you can.. which includes waiting up to game time to get the legit injury calls and weather... as well as other factors.

I'm just saying I'm not arguing. But for the 3 years I won in a row people gave me shit for putting my picks in 5 minutes before kick off. Bullshit that's smart.

And on the IRL side I'd jump on bad lines as soon as they came out so it goes both ways. But in the end I got fucked.

Getting off topic but my advice is don't be a smart guy and scalp with books as a lot of them have different names but they're the same book and they know. I personally got screwed but moving on.

I'll still beat James in the pool... my goal! (honestly not paying much attention this year sorry)

I put the brakes on what I did. I'm not not going back anytime soon but these pools and small stake FFL'S are fun and no harm done in my opinion.

Eh ... 50 bucks isn't worth me setting up a schedule to be in front of a computer a few minutes before the first kick-off. If 50 bucks doesn't do it, bragging rights isn't really going to do it either.

The goal is to have the most wins any given week. Strategy doesn't come in to play unless there's a tie before monday.

Meh I'm just competitive in anything. I don't care about $50 bucks I get that for two hours of setting up a lan.

Bragging rights go a longgggg way however.

But I quit the scene last year and took easy.. and I actually am enjoying football again. I guess it's like quitting your 70 hour a week IT job and then start enjoying your private computer time again.

Anyways best of luck to you guys. I'm not having the best year as I'm not keeping up with the shit 24/7 anymore but I promise to stay competitive.

I use the same picks for this and the office pool that I'm in. Picks have to be in weds for a thurs night game, so yeah. I'm already locked in.

Although it ended up being a good game (and I lost my FF game by 3 points since Braylon Edwards finally managed to catch some passes), both of those teams suck hardcore. Quinn and Edwards both looked like deer in the headlights throwing picks left and right.
