View Full Version : Exquisite/Perfect forged weapons...

I know that forged weapons that are 'perfect' are supposed to give a +3 to Avd, and +2 for "Exquisite"... The question I have is this.

I watched a friend swing their ora fist-scythe at a critter, and then their exquisite fist-scythe at a critter. The difference in AvD was 7, not 2... Any idea what's up with that?

I'm sorry I didn't think to post before it scrolled off my screen.

Both swings were at the same Lesser Orc

The Ora Fist-Scythe's AvD was 28

The Exquisite AvD was 35

But that's workin off a weak memory... On second thought, it could have been 25 and 32, respectively. That could mean me that one of the Fist-Scythe's is actually a Sai-style weapon, could that be possible?

could probly pull it off with none.

i open ambush the neck with two handers and i am about 70% successful with zero ranks.

How many ranks of ambush along with 2x CM will it take to reliably open ambush heads with a lance?

For best results, about 30 or so ranks.

Is that all perfect weapons do is add to the AvD by a few points?

A perfect weapon adds +3 to AvD and +6% to DF.

they are worth it in my opinion. especially with the new glyphs.

why just have a plain lance or maul when you can have a perfect lance or maul o'DOOM!

8 or 10 points on an endroll are pretty irrelevant since the switch to GS4 and randomized crits, at least in my experience. Is that really all it does is add a few points on the endroll?

and few points of endroll and an increase DF, as well strength bonuses i think (though that holds little significance without breakage).

maybe you need to get in touch with your inner jew here, because more endroll and more DF can mean the difference between killing the thing and not.

now its not as drastic a difference from going from a 0x weapon to 10x ECW weapon o'DEATH! but it adds up.

every penny counts!

as well as having a decent resell value, whereas their plain counterpart you almost have to pay someone to take from you.

Well I was able to catch up with him and look into this question.

The one weapon is actually a claw or some such, so a different weapon-type.

That'll do it.
