How do you guys hunt usually with 1106?
Just casting from def/guarded?
Going offensive and channeling?
Or channeling from guarded?
or a combination of them.
I started off channeling from offensive, but then just started doing it from defensive/guarded, as to keep my DS up.

Depends on what I'm hunting. If it's a slow moving critter, definitely channeling from offensive. If it's fast or I can't afford the RT in offensive, I'll go to guarded or try another spell.

I channel from offensive, but I have it macro'ed so that I'm in defensive (or guarded) immediately after.

After years of hunting with shatter, I firmly believe that non-channeling in guarded is the best way to hunt.
I did not see a noticeable difference when channeling, or when in offensive.
I use a shield and have my hand open.

Channel from offensive; it's easy if you're already hunting THW.

I usually channel in offensive. I stance dance a lot, but I very rarely get hit. I've noticed a big difference while channeling and not, and haven't really examined the difference between guarded and offensive.

Ever since the changes, I just incant in guarded and it works fine. No more channeling for me.

My empath avoids using boneshatter if at all possible. It annoys me that certain professions can go around casting the same fucking spell for virtually every critter from level 10 - cap. I mean, even a retard could hunt a boneshatter empath... and I'm pretty sure many already do.

I take pride in playing basketball with my forehead only. Any dumb person can pass, dribble and shoot with their hands. I prefer the foreheard.
I understand you can boneshatter to cap, but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it.

Btw don't say gay, you'll offend Necromancer and we're not ready for another vegan thread yet.

Buy slender ivory wands whenever an empath alchemist has them on sale. 20 waves of bone shatter for 1.5k-3k is a great price. That's 120 mana per wand. And you get a huge bonus waving them as an empath, since they're in your professional sphere. Self powerleveling is awesome.
