Any see it last night? It was the debut.. seems like it will be a pretty good show. He had Arnold Schwarzenegger as his first guess. It's a mix between politics and comedy. It's on CNBC at 9 pm and again at 12 am if anyones interested.
Anyone that see it, have any thoughts?

I'm confused by Dennis Leary. He used to be the most liberal comic in the world, now he's very much in the opposite direction. Either way, he's a funny man.

I think you're confused, duuuuude.
Dennis Miller's always leaned to the right.
Dennis Leary is a whole different guy. He smokes cigarettes and likes it.

:cough:DAILY SHOW RIPOFF:cough:
I haven't seen it, but it sounds like it's in the same mold. And the scheduling is suspicious as well.
edit: stupid smileys

Miller while slanted to the right, still holds a objective view... a fairly balanced one, just because someones left or someones right, doesnt keep them from being fair game from him :)
I miss the rants!

Why are you suspicious of the timing? TDS is on at 11 where I am. If Dennis Miller thinks he's the next Jon Stewart, though, he's got another thing coming.

Dennis Miller has been around a ton longer then Jon Stewart btw..... and all those type shows are all bassically a rip off of when Dennis Miller orginially did the "new" on saturday night live back in the day
Dennis Miller sucks, big words just aren't funny.

The way they're both broadcast twice at night, one early, one late, mainly. Maybe I'm too paranoid.

I think Dennis Miller is better then John Stewart.... I know he is smarter, I guess not as funny but pretty close.
BTW if you haven't seen it, in his opening monologue he mentioned how he used to be more liberal, but that 9/11 changed him and he doesn't see how it didn't change almost everyone.

True, Denis Miller uses bigger words and is uhm less dumb (sp?) ::smirk:: Jon Stewart is pretty damn funny too, I was merely giving Miller credit to the whole fad in the first place.

I agree with Meos..I guess I'm in the minority..I just don't find Dennis Miller funny..or even mildly entertaining.

Miller has always been funnier than John Stewart. Stewart relies on one liners and tired, canned jokes. Dennis Miller's stuff is normally fresh and intelligent. At least he doesn't follow the easy trail and continue with the dumbing down of television.
I'm not a fan of Dennis Miller's politics. They should've kept him on Monday Night Football though. I think I was the only person who was a fan of him on there.
John Stewart is money. Sometimes the most obvious things are the most hilarious. Last night's clip of Bush dodging the "DO YOU STILL THINK THERE WERE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN IRAQ?", while Stewart was poking fun at him was hilarious.

I actually liked Dennis Miller on MNF too.
