sellin a silver-filmed adamantine breastplate its +7 enchant 99/999 breakage weighs 40lbs must be 65 to wear
>look breas
Simply forged and completely unadorned, the adamantine is pitch black. An odd, silvery luster eclipses the ebon metal, causing an oily shimmer on the surface, like moonlight hitting dark water.
Wizard enchanting the armor is possible but foolish. It is harder to enchant and there is an increased chance of cursing/losing the item completely. To enchant it via Premium Points, it is 2x the cost of regular enchants.
The armor can't be lightened, but some will say they have had their armor lightened in the past. The armor has the following other propeties:
It stops an attack about one out of ten swings. When it stops the attack it will do one of two things:
Shatter the weapon.
Disarm the weapon.
If the weapon is non-magical, it shatters. If the weapon is made from magical metals or has been enchanted, it will be disarmed.
The flare cannot be used offensively, meaning it does not work with CMANs or GLD skills. It is purely a defensive mechanic. It does not cause weapons to be disarmed on CMANs such as hamstring and cut throat.
And here are some clips of it in a warcamp.
In an awe inspiring display of combat mastery, a Grimswarm orc barbarian engages you in a furious dance macabre, spiralling into a blur of strikes and ripostes!

makes me wish I had 20 mill left after EG. What was the other set of Adamantine that got raffled off? I missed both of em.

When you say further enchantable, you mean by PC wizard or by PP/Merchants?

not sure, i would imagine PP/merch only, not sure how to check, goin off info from krakii

I'm no wizard but couldn't you have an enchanter perform a pour on it to find out if it'll take?

Since it is only +7, it wouldn't take a Major enchanting slot to check if it is Wizard enchantable. It would probably affect the price a bit since someone ambitious could take it to +32. Doubt anyone wants to dump 0925720378 PP to do that.

I recall the requirement being level 67 for adamantine, but that's hazy memories of the EG'06 auction.

ya ill have to do that when i get home from work not familiar with the process tho as ive never played a wizard able to enchant. doesnt the pour render the armor useless til the enchant is completed or is there a way to untemper it?
(...) is there a way to untemper it?
Yes.

If this can be wizard enchanted, I am interested in it.

i'm 98.76% sure it cannot be wizard enchanted.

I wonder how easy adamantine is to enchant. I think it's alexandrite that's near impossible to enchant, but I can't remember. With two unusual, long, "a"-leading materials, I might have them mixed up.

finally after a couple days got ahold of somebody to test it
Vandele pours his potion on the breastplate.
As the liquid coats the surface of the adamantine breastplate, a misty aura fills the air surrounding it and dances around Vandele's fingers as he gestures over it, a soft incantation spilling from his lips. Small runic symbols flare to life at various points along the surface of the breastplate, their blurry edges wavering in response to the cadence of his voice, the liquid in these area absorbing quickly beneath the surface. When the last of the liquid has vanished, the symbols dissipate and the breastplate appears faded.
so wizard enchantable

That's ... interesting. I'm pretty shocked it tempered.
Would enchanting it change the level requirements? Like, would 4 enchantments add 10 to the base level requirement?

no idea if it would change the level requirements or not

probably like zelnorn and just need the level requirement to hold it in the first place so you would need an older wizard to do the enchants in the first place.
Thats pretty sweet and surprising being wizard enchantable

I'm not sure taking a pour is a 100% indicator of being wizard enchantable.
edit: Armor worn clothing can take a pour, and cast, but do nothing.

it is known to be further enchantable, the question was whether it is wizard enchantable or just player points. so knowing that it is enchantable, and that it takes a pour, it would seem pretty reasonable to assume its wizard enchantable.

Armor worn clothing isn't already +7 and clearly a piece of armor :)

I'm wondering if it's got some massive material-based penalty for enchanting. There's got to be some reason they're adding such a huge surcharge for enchanting it via Premium Points.

If this is like the sword I had, it can be enchanted by a wizard, but it was explained to me by a GM that it would be incredibly difficult with a much higher chance of blowing up the weapon. I probably wouldn't try unless I was going to use premie points.

I figure I'll chime in on the armor, since I been able to play with it in Platinum. You need to be 65 - 67 (I forget) to actually hold the armor, enchanting will not change this.
