So I was reading a blog entry here (http://corporette.com/2008/10/30/poll-results-not-many-will-admit-to-napping-even-though-its-good-for-you/) and it made me curious whether you all nap.

We all know PB has been napping routinely since his 55th birthday, but what about the rest of you? Do you nap in between classes? On your office floor? In your car between sales meetings? In your morning group meetings? During conference calls?

I bet this is just another racist post about nappy headed hos.

I nap on the weekends. I don't trust myself to go to my car or house during lunch and nap. I'd wake up hours later and be screwed.

I might have to nap on my office floor during lunch today if I want to make it out tonight

I take naps maybe a couple of times a month. I've never been one to sleep when there's daylight out unless I'm under the influence of something. I always feel like I'm missing out on something when I do. Powernaps don't do anything for me though, I usually feel worse if I sleep for only 30 minutes or so. It's usually for a couple of hours on the weekend if I do it at all.

Same with me. If I sleep 30 minutes I will not get up.

Naps for me are usually the result of headaches/migraines or if I'm sick.

Otherwise I'll have time to sleep when I'm dead.

I nap at family gatherings, during sports (Sundays mainly), to sleep off feeling like crap (sick, headache, or any other ache).

Can't really categorize that.

When I've been burning that candle at both ends too long, sometimes I just crash, my body makes me. When I do, it's epic. Maybe once or twice a month, but it won't be any 30 minute thing, last time I was out 4 hours. Otherwise, up late, up early..

I have a class on T TH that I'm up for at 6A when my class the night before routinely keeps me up til 1-2A between getting home, doing homework etc. I've napped 2-3 times at 4:00P on T TH til about 5:30P.

I blame getting old and geriatric.

I only take naps when I seriously need them. Usually if I take a nap because I'm bored or something I wake up feeling like crap for the rest of the day.

I need naps or else I go crazy. It's been that way since I was a little kid though, while I can function on little sleep I become extremely agitated and anti-social. If I get less than 9 hours of sleep the night before, I need some 10 minute power naps through the day.

Same, except I don't do it that often. Maybe once or twice a year. Only time i've napped this year that I can remember was after a funeral, and I was seriously drained.

Naps are bullshit. They throw my sleep cycle off terribly.

I nap everyday, usually before going to the gym.

Its useful after a long day, rest, recharge, and then go all out again.

I get a migrane maybe once a year. When I realize a headache isn't going away and it's becoming a migrane, I go home, go to sleep right away, and when I wake up it's always gone.

Other than that I never nap.

I love naps.. I *try* to take them a couple times a week but mostly it's because I can't get to sleep before 11pm or so and have to get up for work at 4:30am and without a few naps here and there I'm a highly unpleasant person to be around.

Pretty much all I do is nap - a product of getting home at 7 AM and all the distractions that daytime brings while trying to sleep. I've never held so much hatred for a lawn crew, a UPS guy, or a particularly happy bird as I do when my clock reads noon and I'm staring at it.
