Old School Filthy HoRs

For the old school Hounds of Rexxar, what's everyone's plan for the xpac. It's getting pretty close and I'm already excited to see how Monkey's antics will play out in this 3rd iteration. I'm really looking forward to the Great Guild Meltdown volume 3.

Lol seriously though, there are a lot of improvements to the game that benefit our particular brand of madness.

* Guild rankings - Increase in epeen for both pve and pvp. No longer would there be a need for hostility between pvpers and pvers. You'd want both in your guild because both would work together for the benefit of everyone's epeen.

* 10/25 raids - It should be easier to see all the content when all the raids can be done with either 10 or 25 people. If there were 2 10-man raids, I suspect there would still be some issues between the *good* group and the *bad* group. However, I don't think this will be half the issue it was in BC.

* Raid buffs don't stack - Because they don't stack, and because all dps classes will do about the same amount of dps, you can pick and choose which players you want to raid with, instead of which classes. This should fix the previous bullet point's issues. Plus you'll be able to take skilled players to raids and not the needed class.

I'm just curious what everyone's getting into. BTW, I still have half a stack of snowballs...

A couple of us have actually reformed HoR (www.houndsofrexxar.net some asshole squated on the .com site and wanted $750 for the rights. I laughed at him a lot)

Basically right now we're gearing up alts in anticipation of the expansion. Great part about the expansion is that you can quickly switch over to another class/race and be right up to speed with everyone else with very effort (except getting to level 70). My plan is to level up a Deathknight and then Falgrin.

Basically, it's Matray and I currently.. but it's completely casual right now. We won't actively do any raiding until we get to 80. Currently, it's just Kara/ZA/Gruul/Mag stuff to gear up alts so people have choices who their main will be once WotLK comes out.

Last I heard, Blizzard isn't killing off twinks since there will be no experience giving for WSG or AB. Did that change?

Little, I'm fitt'n to choke my Flask of Assault recipe. The last two batches I've made, I only proc'd 2 additional flasks... Wtf? 42 flasks off of 40 mats... You know what Dakken would say, PISS POOR!

I emailed Skond, Erupt and Algore to see what they're up to. Erupt is doing IRL stuff and is doing fine. He said he may up to coming back and checking out the xpac. He said he doesn't have time to go everyday, but might jump in and see what's up. (I've also talked to some other people and myself included. Some of us also don't have unlimited time, but might be able to spend more time on weekends to run some shit.)

I haven't heard from Skond or Algore yet.

Now I"m just trying to get an epic flyer for the mage. Dunno if I'll be playing the mage or druid come the expansion. Basically all of the non PVP gear on my druid has been disenchanted.

Yea.. I traded my GS accounts to Nekk for his WoW accounts. I never split any characters off since Blizzard is a real pain in the ass to deal with. I have to leave a DNA sample with them to prove I was the original owner before doing anything with the account.

You end up getting this infection that lasts for 10 minutes. If you die within that 10 minute span, you turn into a zombie. If you don't get cleansed (paladins, priests, NPC Ardent Dawn Priests can dispell it) you turn into a zombie.

Once you are a zombie, you lose all your gear/armor and you gain new skillz. You slowly lose HPs over time.. but you gain them as you cause damage.

You can infect others with damage and a skill called "retch" (you throw up on the ground, causing some green fog) Once you turn into a zombie, you obviously start talking in the Zombie language. You can understand alliance speech as well as horde... and you can invite alliance zombies into your group.

We took over Crossroads, Astrannar (sp?), and some alliance town. It was a blast... especially when you find someone who obviously has no idea wtf is going on.

It's like the plague in WC3. Kill a plagued roach/rat, get bit by a zombie, etc and you're infected. After the infection timer goes you turn into a zombie and can spread the love/plague. Infect NPCs, players, whatever. When you're a zombie you can speak with alliance zombies.

We have 1 major Guild but they raid 6 days/nights a week and burn through people like butter. 2 heavy raiders but they didn't finish sunwell till the patch. 3-4 casual raiding all got through illidan but not much through sunwell. Millions of smaller guilds who rise and fall like normal. No rp or whatever Wow calls rp. It is pvp all the way. About even with alliance and horde maybe a little more alliance but not like the old days.

The usual groups of dweebs, perverts, boy toys, drama queens, mama's boys, preachers, 12 year old whores and a few talented players. Not much different than any other server other than we all seem to know each other.

You should find out which server Tamral plays and get into his guild. They are the only guild in the history of WOW that cleared everything and they are all very, very upset with the 3.0 nerf and how n00bs can do the same very difficult content they were able to do.

It was more of a reference to Tamral than to you :) We pugged Kael' last night and dropped him. I think there was one person there that killed him prior to 3.0.. and I would say most of them had never been to the fight before.

Also... If your toon needs 3 or 4 epics, the easiest epics to get currently are from the invasions.

We did all of AQ40 with maybe 25 people, it was fun last night. I can see that twin emp fight being an absolute cock block at lvl 60 though. All it takes is one retard.

If you do, get someone you know/like and who is considering levelling a new character up to do the recruit a friend thing.

I was levelling up a horde druid the normal way and got to level 36 after about 6 days. Did the recruit a friend thing and got an alliance druid to 35 after two.

You get 3X XP for kills and quests when you are levelling together for a month. You can summon your friend once an hour and after a month you get a free zhevra mount. You can also grant the referring account a level every two levels, so if you level up while they are not on, every time you gain two levels (which doesnt take long) you can give them a level until they catch up to you. It's fucking sick.

Pretty easy actually. Get a tank, healer and an AOEer... and boom, you can easily get 4 pieces of gear per person. Mail and cloth = 4 epics.. plate and leather = 3 epics and a blue. The +to killing undead is useless, but they are generally big upgrades for dps from greens and blues.

Probably. I was able to do it with a protection speced warrior without a healer.. but the time you need to sit and eat to refresh your HPs.. you could have a healer throw a quick heal on you and be done. They respawn so fast, you can down an entire invasion with the 4-6 elites and 2-3 "rare spawns" in about 30 minutes.
