Best bowling score ever

I once bowled like 190 or something then went back to my normal score of about a 100. But for that one game I was in the zone baby.

Ok... just saw Cabin Fever.... so I'll regale you with a little segment they had (the squeamish in the audience [me] should leave):

Guy walks into a bowling alley and takes the 6 employees there hostage. One employee is always smiling. He (our protagonist) ties each to a chair, in a circle facing inward. Everyone can see everyone else. They are also gagged. He gets a ball-peen hammer and walks around the circle, smashing the heads in one by one. The employees watch their friends die. When he finishes with that, he saws off the limbs and head of each person.

The police find a pile of 6 mutilated torsos and piles of body parts at the end of the alley. Our protagonist had gone bowling with each body part he had removed from the corpses. Caught in the ball return is the head of the smiling employee. He is still smiling.

P.s. Cabin Fever is a good movie.

P.p.s. After reading the preview of my post, I realize it doesn't quite fit with the lighthearted tone of this thread. Therefore, I am hoping someone (Bob) will come in and insult someone before it goes through. Congratulations on your score, Jenisi, and I hope you bowl many more high scoring games!

I think my bet game ever I may have gotten like a 160 or something.

But then I suck at bowling. I only go for the glamorous shoes.

I play candlepin. My average is 90-95 and my best game was 130.

candlepin anything like duckpin? I love duckpin bowling, but I only know of one place somewhat local, and it's over in MD.

It's a LOT harder. The pins are straight and narrow. The highest score ever is like 244.

yes, Duckpin is standard pins and softball sized bowling balls (maybe a bit bigger). candlepin does sound difficult, must be some new england thing.

It is. In the country, there are probably less than 1/10 of the candlepin alleys than in New England.

I bowled a 241 in my league, with an average of 173. Natural curve is awesome. I can also take a 16 lb ball and curve from one gutter to the other usually hitting it brooklyn-style.

My high is like 120 when I used to bowl a lot. I think if I bowled now it'd be about 60.
