Went to a local Brazilian steakhouse last night. Out-freaking standing. Nothing like 15 different kinds of meat being deposited randomly at your table.
For $90 including tip it really was fairly reasonable. The bacon wrapped chicken, top sirloin, and bottom round were probably my favorites.
I definitely should've worn some sweat pants to the restaurant though, as it felt like my belt was about to explode.
90 bucks seems pretty expensive, hopefully the meat was a better quality than the kind you get at the 45 dollar kinds. How much was the actual meal not including drinks and desserts and all that stuff? They really charge a ton for the extras to try and getcha.

It was very high quality. There was only one thing that I thought was overcooked, they were bacon-wrapped beef nuggets. Looked like charcoal. Everything else was really good. They had a beef stroganoff that I could've ate as a meal by itself.
The "feast" was like $33 per person which included all the meat plus a 40 selection buffet. Mostly different types of salads and things. Also had some soups and fish.
They also brought out a bunch of different breads, 2 different kinds of dipping sauce and a starch, which was kind of a cross between mashed potatoes and cornbread which was also really good.

There's a local one around here that's fantastic, only $45, I hope you meant $90 for you and yours. Nothing better than meat being served to you strait from a sword. Bacon wrapped chicken was awesome.

Yeah, it was $90 total. Not a terrible price for such a good meal.
Texas de Brazil -- Culinary proof that I could never ever become a vegetarian except by force. The food and the service were both top fucking notch and worth every red cent.

I forgot to mention our waitress. Cute as hell, and did a fantastic job.

Yeah I went to one for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Basically everything you said was spot on, our meal was also $90, my girlfriend paid for it which was cool, hah, I got the tip.
The only difference was... our server was a guy, who was hitting on me.
I hang out in a portuguese/brazilian neighborhood and the food has never let me down. And neither have the waitresses.

They're a lot of fun. Pretty expensive, but for me it's more about the novelty of it, rather than the food. Plus, the food's good.

No question this place was fantastic. They opened one in Miami not too long ago and it was great. Headed to the one in Orlando next week...I am not eating for 3 days before I go.

DO NOT forget to go to their website and sign up for their mailing list. We haven't had both the time and funds together for a while to take advantage, but it's great to get the coupons for half-off meals or the free meal during the month around your birthday or the other events they have (we tried going to a wine tasting a while back, but unfortunately the restaurant lost power during a thunderstorm just before it was supposed to start).
And now I'm hungry.

I don't really like Texas De Brazil as much as some other ones, but I will definitely go there for half off.

I hate that you guys can afford to go eat at one.
I spent $25 at Eddie's today and that fed the family including a pitcher of beer.
We split a Thai burger and Focaccia Cuban.

OH SHIT don't click on the OZ link at the bottom of the page unless you're in a NSFW enviroment. The guy that owns Eddie's also owns one of the finer tittie bars.. good thing a lot of the dancers also work as servers... you know to pay for college.

Thanks for the heads up. The added incentive never hurts, plus it's worth it either way as far as I'm concerned.

I went to a pretty crappy one in Cambridge. My first warning should have been the shit ton of fruit flies flying all over the place. My second warning was when they came to our table to offer us chicken hearts.
At these places make sure not to eat and bread or anything from the salad bar. They're genetically engineered to expand to fill your whole stomach. Just eat the meat.
